  • I would like to say that u look so good! I've watched your videos, and I am so inspired. I need to know what routine u did. U do not have cellulite, I do. We are pretty much built the same way, with the pear shape. Its hard to get the hips and thighs from looking like Barney at the bottom, but u look great!

  • have u tried increasing your protein intake?... lots of water etc, cut the simple sugars?, BTW you look great from your before photos, .. slimmer healthier face too.

  • what is happening is you are losing fat but gaining muscle and muscle weighs more than fat so that is probably why your weight isnt changing because to me you look like you have a lil six pack goin on there. lol

  • i am 16 and i weighed about 145 lb. and i was like 5'6. i didnt like it. now im 5'8. i weight about 135. i used to weight 127 =/ i eat & eat & eat & eat & i dont feel free or good about my body. It feels in chains. I work out everyday at practice...My plateu is that 127 lb. idk how to get past it :( anyone can help? I quit eating & eat really healthy now. No change yet. But ive gained lots of muscle. idk. im very confused =/ that why i subscribed. this is inspiring :)

  • You really have to work at it. You need to work and work and work until you think 'nope. its impossible. I can't do it. My thighs are collapsing.... Ohhh...' and then you probably have lost at least a few kilos.

  • As of this past Saturday (April 09), I've lost 33 pounds.

  • You hit a plateau but you are also gaining muscle mass from the training. Don't cut out any of the food intake. The plateau will end as your body adjusts. Your muscle mass will actually help you lose more weight. Give it a week and the wight will continue to come off. Keep working out.

  • girl u better stop playing i know you have a goal but you look wonderfulI im sure everyone else see the difference. if you really want to lose weight try boot camp kick boxing, youll probably end up fainting but you will look lighter a few days after doing it ;)

  • Just a bit of key info I found out. Intervals are way better than other cardio. Proven medical fact in more than one country even though the common belief is kill yourself doing cardio. Check it out, using Leslie Sansome 1-mile walk or Jog if u are fitter is a killer body workout but it is interval cardio, not resistance workouts.  Supersets are fast also and better than longer workouts. At least for me. I use FYM - fit yummy mummy. Workouts are 15 minutes alternating btwn res an cardio

  • dont lose hope, try measuring not weighing because muscels weight more then fat but muscels take up less space then fat, so try to measuring ur waist, thighs and arms. so again, dont lose hope! Ur amazing

  • hey amy, i realize this is an older vid. but i was thinking maybe it's the bread that's the culprit. i bet if you cut out breads and pastas, you'll see a bigger shrinkage. i was hitting a plateau at 164 for 2 weeks, then i totally cut out all breads, all pastas (although did eat a cup of brown rice with dinner), and i lost 4 lbs in 2 weeks. so maybe that could be the key.

  • hey, you look smokin! you have dome incrediable well. another tip for u as said before guam seaweed mud is fabulouse stuff and really helps to tighten loose skin. the other thing is a DVD workout called Turbo Jam, this is how i lost 47 pounds (im now 105 ish.. and staying at this mark!) another thing this weight loose barrie you've hitten is becuase your gaining and building your musscles plus your workout may of become to competitive.. muclse weights ALOT more than fat does =) hope this helps!

  • Thanks for the vid. I am at that point. Ive lost almost 50 lbs. since july 08. I have been at 247 for the last 6 weeks. Its is very hard to keep going and things stop!!!!!!!!! But you have given me a little more strength to keep going! Thank u!

  • ya body might just be locking in the new weight and that is a great thing cuz if u mess up u wont gain all ya weight back.also if u want to break thru a real plateau just change what u do...do it different for a while add weights light like 2 lbs it will make a difference

    I am working to loose fat and hit a plateau about a month an a half ago. To get out of it I took a week off of my diet to jump my metabolism. After that, I started calorie zig-zagging and increased my exercise like you are doing.

    It's frustrating when our bodies adapt BUT this is the mechanism that would protect us from starving to death, which is nice. The way to get around it by tricking your body.

    I know you can do it!!

Exercise just lifts the self esteem in ways that cannot be explained. I love it! I have about 20 pounds to lose! Wish me luck I start this morning!   • HI, I accidently came across your videos and have enjoyed all of them. I have gained 100 pounds in 10 yrs. I have lost 40 then got a bit too 'comfortable' and settled with that. I am going to start recording and being accountable for my actions and it seems that is very important.

  • Ok..people are so obsessed with the scale, but actually that 3 digit # is not all that matters. You can lose MASS and not lose weight. Meaning you will be physically smaller although it's not reflected on the scale. Measurements will more accurately tell you if you actually went down in size. DO not let the scale get you down people. I do not even own a scale. My weightloss journey will begin this weekend/next week. Keep it up sis. You look absolutely fabulous.

  • Switch to whole wheat instead of refined wheat (because it will help cleanse the colon) and organic whole milk-b/c it's healthier to eat whole foods, such as BROWN sugar which has the molasses intact in order provide minerals.

  • In my loss I've noticed this pattern, I will lose weight and inches and then I will stop losing pounds as my body shrinks down some more before releasing weight again. Track your measurements and it isn't a plateu unless you haven't loss weight OR inches for at least 3 weeks. Keep up the great work!

  • Where is the protein in the brekfast? Protein with every meal!!!!

  • I agree, even if you aren't low carb eating enough protein and fat will help prevent your body from getting too used to your calorie restriction.

  • This is especially true if you are exercising hard and using calorie restriction. Your body is saving calories because it needs the calories and protein for your work outs. BTW: it isn't a platuex unless your have stalled in weight AND measurement loss for three weeks in a row.

  • i'd say the reason your not seeing any number lose is because you ARE still loosing weight, BUT you're gaining muscle. muscle mass is heavier then fat mass. you look great. i envy your body. your waste is tiny, your body looks great. you have perfect curves and still skinny.

  • Point of order: No straight male will ever get sick of looking at you. As for the plateau, it happesn to all of us. You are on the right track but i have a suggestion. It's time to put on the bathing suit and swim laps. This will exercise those muscle groups you're already working and hit the small ones the isolation excerises miss. Besides, it will shock your system. Try it..you'll like it. Actually, the pink toe nail polish is the extra weight. LOL. Are your knees hurting anymore?

  • You're doing great Amy! I know EXACTLY what that dreaded plateau is like. It's not easy, but you have the right idea. Tweak your diet a little. What i find that helps, is drinking a lot of water and eating pineapple, grapefruits, watermelons etc, basically a lot of fruit and veg with a high water content and citrus fruits. Definitely keep up with the exercise! Your body will thank u for it. Your keeping it healthy and fit.. Good luck hun, have a good week :) you'll get where u need to get to :)

  • Amy, you've been doing so well. I know what you mean about following a diet, exercising and not losing weight. Somehow your methabolism just slows down.

  • You look great!! Your stomach looks more defined from last week. Do you eat white bread? Maybe switching to whole grain? Instead of jelly maybe natural preserves? There's a book out there called Eat This, Not That that offers advise on food swaps and I also like the Hungry Girl's book, who also has a website. Keep up the good work!!

  • Good morning, new to your video, when to look at one of your hair videos and saw your weight loss video, girl first of all, what I wouldn't give to be at your starting weight, don't remember the last time I was, lol what's your method, are you sharing in one of the videos step by step, you look really good, I think you can stop losing now, you know us ethnic ppl gotta keep our curves and it looks as though your tummy is gone. Congrat, now share the secret please ;}

  • Just looking at your photos you can see the change which is AWESOME. I would say stop watching the scale and see how your clothes fit on you. that makes a big difference in a confidence booster. Don't give up now, this is just a hurdle in your path to the finish line. JUMP THAT HURDLE GIRL!!! you can do this. I believe that you can.

  • and remember, every time you work out your muscles, you tear them & that's the soreness you feel. then your body makes scar tissue to repair the muscle, and that's the muscle getting bigger. so unless you're no longer feeling the soreness, which means you're not increasing resistance or repetition, then you're increasing muscle mass. and you know that step class, well that was the increase;-) stepping is cardio mixed with weight lifting in a way. you're just using your body weight instead.

    Now you could be at a plateau, but I really thinks there's some awesome stuff changing inside.

    Muscle weighs so much more than fat. And I don't know the specific differences in weight, but say you lost 2 more lbs. of fat, but gained just a little more muscle equaling 2 lbs, tell me, what would your scale say?

  • i experienced a plateau about 4 weeks ago. i almost begain starving myself, still with no change on the scale. i was down to eating one meal a day. i did this for about 2 wks. someone told me to go off the diet for 2 days. eat whatever i want and then start te diet again. well 2 days after going off the diet, i lost 2 pounds. and during the 2 day splurge i did not gain at all. try it and see what happens. p.s. you are a true inspiration.

  • I thought about not working out for a week and then hitting it hard the week after to shock my body back into the swing of things....but if it does't work it would be another blow to my motivation so I think I might just work out extra hard and drop my caloric intake down....just a little.

  • Dont give up try to focus on something else for awhile you know change will come. I had many plateaus when I lost 100+ pounds. It is just your body adjusting to change.
