  • omg fucking jimmy i cant even function dskgkjdsfgk5y6956A;LAS

  • Umm.... Isn't The Begining Of This Ultimate Ass Kicking Performance "Out On The Tiles" ?

  • @SlayerallicaSeid yep which means its out on the tiles with a black dog. sounds like fun lol

  • how do people like katy perry and kesha get record deals? meanwhile if i young rock band were to play a rock song like this they would get turned down?

  • @varone6t9 because my generation is a bunch of retards

  • haha robert plant is such a n00by awkward turtle at the start

  • fucking awesome video... i do wonder if they ever played "out on the tiles" without jumping into black dog lol awesome video

  • I would much rather listen to something like this than some stuff that's technically in outer space! Just how I feel!

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

    fucking awesome!

  • was there man

  • john bonham is so fucking good

  • Amazing Zeppelin.

  • heroin didnt help matters but Page's worst problem during his 30's was whiskey. Drinking booze every day will destroy a man even faster than heroin

  • page is not on heroin here you could not play a guitar like this if you where, and also i was at this concert

  • @MultiGrazier Yeah he is. He used heroin almost every day for a good 7 years and didn't quit until the early 80's.

  • Hello there music appreciator.

  • heroin really fucks any person up

  • i love jimmy but his solo was awful.

  • @coal1987 I think this was when he was hitting the junk hard. If you listen to how wonderfully precise his playing was ten years earlier, even though he was still a young person here, it illustrates how his playing deteriorated, likely from heroin. Still love the man.

  • "Aah-aah,

     aah-aah (Jimmy don't!) aaah!!!"

  • Estoooooo si es musica, muerte al maldito reguetonnnnnnnnnnnn, ***ROLOS, ROJOS Y ROCKEROS***

  • heck yes

  • It seems to me like robert plant sings this song an octave lower in the live versions ..or maybe I just have a bad ear. Can some one clear this up for me please?

  • @nayrniak Just in Knebworth, watch the Albert Hall or the Earls Court concert and he sounds the same, remember that when the Knebworth concert happened he had an operation.

  • I don't get why some people are bashing the solo, it sounds good to me. It's not the studio solo, and sure he probably hit the wrong note once or twice but other than that dance he was doing it was a good solo...

  • heavy rock with a clean guitar sound LOL - never done by anyone else

  • LISTEN TO TWO NEW REALLY AWSOME ROCK BANDS LIKE THIS THERE CALLED DEAN LICKYER AND GRUHAK THEY BOTH KICK ALOT OF ASS

  • I would kill a dude in order to get Plants hair...

  • Like Beatles 1966, LZ is very loose here.

  • Robert Plant is genius....

  • colossal rhythm

  • is there any good website for Led Zepp stories? why people say this was their lowest point?

  • @Eldererr I think they say it because if you take Plant's voice and compare it to, let's say, 1970 or 1971, it's evident it got very hoarse and there are many notes he can't reach anymore. He had a vocal surgery back in 1974 and never gave his throat the time to heal, so his voice never recovered completely. But Robert Plant is Robert Plant, and he's the fucking best even when he's hoarse and shit.

  • I LOVE ZEPPELIN . RETURN ZEPPELIN PLIS !

  • Anybody else wonder how a small guy like jimmy even played the guitar on loads of heroin?

  • @evh4450 Yeah i know right hes skinny as fuck

  • dreams of you all thru my heroin addled head (go jimmy go)

  • Eles estavam no auge

    Robert Plant está perfeiro aqui.

  • whats the song that goes into this one

  • @njnjdsj Out On The Tiles From Led Zeppelin III

  • @njnjdsj when the levee breaks is the song played in intro

  • @LDZPLEN Out On The Tiles

  • @njnjdsj Out on the Tiles

  • Jimmy is good but Robert Plant makes the difference.

  • Robert Plant is the best

  • I think Robert is stoned in this performance.

  • omg i love plant, he is the sexiest ever

  • Good performance, but the first night was so much better than this. August 8th.

  • @RockerForLife74

They never played on the 8th of August, they played the 4th & 11th

  • @LockCarge I know my bad. I was thinking the 4th, but I typed 8 for some odd reason.

  • what i would to see led zeppelin live....omg

  • I WAS AT KNEBWORTH....YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • I saw this concert at 14.

  • @TheCozybear65 Fucking lucky.

  • even ripped out of their skulls they are still one of the greatest bands. and they say drugs have negative side effects.

  • 5:14 did Robert say i get pussy

  • @fredsassy5 wtf

  • 4:13 - Plant's like "WTF Jimmy?"

  • epic song

  • Coolest intro ever!

  • they are legends. Gods of Rock who can be prayed to and worshiped. no words can really describe their artistry.

  • Thumbs up if you're on of the newer generation who would do almost anything to have been born during the most gracious reign of led zeppelin.

  • You've got Lynard Skynard, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Presley, Jim Croce, A show i would kill to see after this life

  • I just love that the crowd was singing with them. Those are some real fans.

  • 1:38!! WHAT!!!??

  • Robert Plant's voice sets the standard of rock music..

  • omg how can you not love robet plant?Great

  • who here agrees jimmy page is god of guitar

  • @Sludge9509 i dont agree

jimmy page is the god of the guitar gods

  • They started with the riff from Out on the Tiles. Captain Obvious I know but still.

  • This is Zeppelin at their lowest point and they still kick the shit out of the laughable poser 'bands' now days.

  • @notmemate

The Knebworth gig was the best of all on the DVD collection I say.

  • @notmemate ... its better than TSRTS movie

  • @notmemate ur rite but I think 1977 was their worst :) 1979-1980 was actually a come back.

  • @Retrocharizard You must mean 1977 because of Presence. Then, I would agree it`s their worst album, but the 77 tour kicked ASS.

  • @thebehtbeht dood plant was at his lowest vocals, and page was at the height of his cocaine. When I say worst, I mean for General standards, it was still kickass. FOr ZEP standards, it was their worst.

  • @notmemate Zeppelin doesen't have a lowest point.

  • @lucaspucastrucas You never heard the Coda album then?

  • @notmemate *read my previous comment*

  • @lucaspucastrucas Of course they did. 1977-78. Jimmy and Peter were heavily into hard drugs (Heroin and Coke respectively) Bonzo was drinking more than ten shots a night, John Paul Jones like usual did pretty much nothing next to grow some facial hair, and worst of all was Robert, who had been in a car accident that had almost killed him and his wife and left him crippled and in a wheelcahir for 6 months, his son had died, and he hadn't toured for 2 years, just to come back to the punk rock U.K.

  • @notmemate zeppelins only low point was when john h.bonham passed away...all hail the mighty zeppelin

  • @MrGreenjeans70 I lived throught the Zeppelin era and trust me- 1977-1980 was a low point- they were considered passe by the punk crowd (and they were really)- they had been musical trail blazers and pioneers but by then had become excessive, pompous, drug and drink dependant dinosaurs.

I love Zeppelin as well but the truth has to be told- especially to the young who think they went out on top- anyone who was there knows differently.

  • @notmemate i agree that the excesses were hurting the band and to me pre77 was their hey day but man they were still a great band...the early years were my favs...but to me low point in reference to the mighty zeppelin is plain blasphemy brother.....all hail the mighty zeppelin

  • @notmemate exactly..alot of young people try to rewrite rock history when it comes to zeppelin. I was there. Zeppein didn't interest series rock fans. Zeppelin intested teenagers and lets face it alot of losers. critics and series rock people dismissed zeppelin. and yes by the end of the 70s there were cringe worthy even by most tennagers. things had changed. And Stones tours were ALWAYS the bigger news.

  • @45arther thats being real about zeppelin. they wree a great 70s band who did steal much of their best work, and who faded out fast. What comes out of the speakers sounds good, but as artists they are not in the same league as bands like the Stones and Beatles. I am amused by the history rewrite by young Zep fans.

  • @45arther Get real!! get your facts straight, (op), zep outsold the stones 3 to 1 in the 70s! fuck the critics! Losers, look who"s callin the kettle black!

  • @MegaZephead album wise yes. teenagers buy the most albums. stones were the bigger concert draw adults can tickets and drive self to show.

  • @45arther Sorry arthur but zep were the biggest live attraction BY FAR!! stones were close, the who also, even elton john!. zep was ThE biggest concert draw in the 70s! have a nice thanksgiving!

  • @45arther Sorry but zep outsold the stones 3 to 1 in ticket sales in the 70s! without all the commercial rubbish that came with the stones! have a nice thanksgiving!

  • @MegaZephead wrong. the stones were the bigger draw although zeppelin was a pretty close second.

  • @45arther Think about this, Zep broke soo many box office records, and beattles so you are saying the stones did the same!! C'mon man!!

  • @MegaZephead yes.. you can see where they played themselves. I was around at the time. Zep sold more albums, the Stones were the bigger concert draw.

  • @45arther

Led Zeppelin were by far the biggest concert draw of the 1970s....in 73, they were literally attracting double the attendance as the stones.....they also wasted them in terms of records sales. Do some research dude.

Led Zeppelin are without equal in the 70s on too many levels.

  • This is just Amazing sound and recording, why wasn't the entire concert put on the DVD that came out in 2005? Led zeppelin please give me another wing if one should fail me...hehehe

  • this band will never fucking die, long live 70s era!

  • hahaha i love the way the audience goes like Aaaaaaah at 3:29 :P

  • solo literally made me lol.

  • Pagey spoil the efforts of Percy with that ridicolous solo =(

  • how can you not like led!!!!! I WAS FUCKIN BORN IN THE WRONG DECADE!!!!!!!! I MEAN NEW MUSCI IS GOOD BUT THIS IS CLASSIC!!!!! LOVE YOU LED ZEPPELIN YOUR MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!! JIMMY AND BOHNOM IDK IF I SPELLED THAT RIGHT AND JIMMY AND PLANT AND JONES!!!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!!!!

  • 1:29 - 1:44 - orgasmic

  • From about 1977 to 1983 Jimmy was on another planet.

  • @capetown99 on Robert Plan(e)t? :p sorry :p couldn't resist :p but to be more serious: yeah he was! :)

  • @SuperKingjazz

Robert Planet! Never thought of that!

  • The intro is Out On the Tiles ....

  • @MrFelipgnr THANK YOU!!!! Was gonna ask what it was. I could hear the song in my head but couldn't remember the title. It's going on the iPod...NOW...total jam!

  • Not bad but Page's solo was beyond horrible, wtf was he even doing?

  • @blubboz eroine :(

  • @blubboz you try playing a live show in front of tens of thousands of people all fucked up on heroin and still make it sound some what good

  • @kingcoldsfist LOL i didnt know they played there shows high

  • Hey, I LOVE Robert Plant!!! He is AMAZING, Page is AMAZING, Bonham was AMAZING, Jones is AMAZING!

    Led Zeppelin ROCKS!!!

  • Hammer of the Gods

  • man his music is the best i never so these videos because i was born in 1980 but i grew up to bands of this time best music ever

  • INCREDIBLE!!!!

  • i wanna be there!

  • I just dont't know why, but this song makes me cry.

  • Jimmy page is obviously just straight up hammered here.

  • i love when jimmy plays stoned

  • @brennanloltehlol thats all the time, isn't it? :P

  • @brennanloltehlol His worst sounding solo when stoned at Knebworth in '79 was during "Achilles Last Stand." He couldn't even play a part of the solo.

  • they are kings

  • oh my! does page realize how horrible this solo was? i heard 80 percent of those notes horribly intonated. bad choice of notes and nothin even close to what i know as a typical zep live sound. not impressed especially coming from one of my favorite guitarists of all time. no disrepect to the man but this was one poop of a perforamance. bonzo was pretty great as usual. lol

  • @cityfan22 is it because he is beautiful, or just his general awesomness?

  • so good it's almost disgusting haha xD goddamn they really are the best!

  • whoaah i LOVE THIS !

  • robert and jimmy are the best

  • I love Pagey but that solo was ridiculous :S

  • Looks like Jimmy is kicking that guitars ass.

  • Here we see Robert just before his vocal cords got too blown out to sing in the high registers. This is a great gig to watch, better than the Madison Square Garden vids, which had so much big-arena reverb it was hard to appreciate the actual music. This sounds like a small room, the warm guitar overdrive comes through well here.

  • @Bob6stringer Not so. Throughout the 80's and 90's he could still get it up there (his voice pervs) Check out 1990 Nirvana at knebworth about 4mins in. AWESOME note to rival any zep.... Rio 1994 whole concert has the higher register.....Page/Plant 1998 bizarre fest. How Many More Times Snce I'e Been loving Glasonbury 1995 just a few examples of Robert ripping it up the scales. There has been some early 2000's stuff, but I don't think he can consistantly hit them now.

  • very blues this version of Black Dog... i like it...

  • Their Secret was the "IMPROVISATION" on the Stage:

"No Quarter on 1977 Tour, Over the Top/Moby Dick on 1977 too, and Dazed and Confused on Earls Court 1975 May 24 and 25 with 34 min.

But they stop to improvise since 1979 until 'ver europe tour on 1980 (their last tour).

Having July 7th 1980 on Berlin Eissporthalle Germany their last epic concert and Whole Lotta Love the Last Song they Play together...

they was, are, and will be the best Hard Rock band ever...

    R.I.P Bonzo

  • @TrafficMind10 Whole lotta love (HTWWW and TSRTS)

How many more times (Royal Albert Hall) very good improvisations

  • Robert = Greek god

  • Why greek?

  • epic

  • Zeppelin is one of the only bands where they sound better live.

  • I was lucky enough to see the original Zep twice in 1980 when I was stationed in Germany. I was at the failed Nuremburg show when Bonzo passed out three songs in. Fortunately I was able to see them again a few days later in Munich, which I believe was their very last show with Bonham. The whole show was really stripped down, no lazers, disco balls. The venue in Nuremburg was so small it couldn't have sat more than 2,000.

  • @jimistreets How was the show?

  • @ludwigvan17 I have always idolized Zep so I would enjoy watching them go fishing. I had a blast. John Paul Jones was really animated and energetic, more than I ever seen him.Plant's voice was strong, he was able to hit most of the high notes. Page on the other hand, seemed to be struggling at times. Now there were plenty of magical moments, but things just didn't flow like they did in 1977 when I saw them. Bonzo was, well, Bonzo. Awesome. The '77 shows may have been better, but who cares?!

  • @ludwigvan17 1979

  • JPJ, why did you get that twangy german bass??? The fender you used to have sounded better. :(

  • i was at Earl's Court in 75 - best concert i ever saw then or now.

  • I had forgotten how young these guys looked and actually were at one time before I watched this video. I guess that is what happens when you live a drug and alcohol free life. Still the greatest band ever.

  • Jimmy Page can be my no-homo lover any day.

  • Robert Plant, in an interview from around 1979, said his favorite rock vocalist was Paul Rogers of Bad Co.

  • @h82dv8 REALLY ? very interesting

  • Heroin doesn't give you awesome guitar skills lol... It just makes you feel high while playing...

  • @muzika3666

You cannot play music well on smack , you just think you are functioning well. That is how the drug deceives its user.

  • pure sex

  • Colin Blunstone, Eric Burdon, Freddie Mercury, Jim Morrison, Robert Plant = epic win.

  • no matter how stoned/drunk off his ass he is, at least Page has JPJ to back him up if he screws up haha

  • Did Page want to play The Song Remains the Same ?

  • haha every time before this show that plant let the audience echo ah-ah they always forgot the first echo, then came in strong the next time! finally they remembered!

  • LMAO IM SORRY THE END SOLO HAHAHAH

  • Out on the Tiles! :D

  • "MOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!!!" *:*

best vocal version, for me ^^

  • WHY THE HELL IS EVERYBODY BASHING PAGE????

Ok i will except that his playing throughout this show wasnt AMAZING, because he was stoned OUT OF HIS MIND!!!!!!.

But i will tell you something, the quality of Pages playing is still 1000000% better than Pete Townsends playing.

Even when Pete is on tip top form he will NEVER EVER be anywhere near as good as Page no matter how stoned he is.

  • @mrtamberineman123

Jimmy Page haters are the scum of the earth.

Why would ANYONE hate on Jimmy Page?

No life, is my best guess...

  • Much better before '75.

  • That's right, fucking SLAY them Plant! Fucking legend.

  • Comment removed

  • Greatest Band of All Time.

poor Jimmy is so strung out =[

  • @metalhead326

    herioin.... =(

  • i hate heroin

  • they always sound like they are off there heads when they play live! never is one show the same as the next. ;-)

  • By intent 2milan3

  • wow he hit the high notes

  • ... &&& it sounds like he had some help from 200,000 or so fans too ....

  • Holy hell! Plant hadn't reached notes this high since 6 years before this concert!

  • Alot of that was the harmonizer effect on the mike, but you are right, his voice was in very good shape and he had a lot of control in this show.

  • he had a litle help from an echo-pelx

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH always ROCK N´ROLL LED ZEPPELIN THE BEST BAND OF THE ROCK AND ROLL OF ALL TIMES

    my favorite band

    YEAHHHH

  • The voice of Plant was the best of the rock music,
