  • I think your work is great--keep working. I myself started throwing pots and have realized how difficult it is...don't be humble about your work. It's worth being proud.

  • a very nice work keep painting

  • Very nice work. :)

  • Very nice work :)

  • I too would like to know if you threw your pcs on a wheel or bought them green. I agree with everyone else that the "house plate" was wonderful...more with variations? The important thing is that it's your passion and brings you peace of mind while working. I've been a potter for 10 yrs now and can't imagine giving it up. Had I not had it I don't think I would have made it through the last two years battling cancer. Truly your work is good..don't be so humble....be proud

  • Stop with the humble!

    You are an artist.

I especialy liked your bowl in the first shot with the houses around.

    keep up the good works

  • Sorry for the late reply, Thankyou very much! The house plate is my favorite one too.

  • very nice work!...i own my own kiln, and have'nt a clue what to do with it..watching you sparks my interest! thanx

  • Did you do these at a Paint Your Pottery Studio? The Plate with house is actuall very good. Keep painting.

  • te felicito!!!!!!

  • Great pottery - congratulations and i envy you for your pieces! ;))

  • I do ceramics also. I like your blue bowls and the teapot. Nice work.

  • Thanks, You should show some of your work too

  • You're welcome. I've made a video of some of my work. It should be online and available today.

  • wow they are really good, i loved the the blue bowls.

  • Thanks very much!

  • What temperature was the final glaze fired at? My experience is that glaze "only" fired at around 1000 C (earthenware) might chip off, whereas glaze fired at around 1250 C (stoneware) is much more durable.

If you dipped the plates in glaze, it should have been thick enough.

In any case, your stuff rocks! Love your use of colours!

  • What a cool idea mirroring the cup! Great job!

The kids' plates are really great. Pity you didn't put clear glaze over the decoration, then they would keep for a long time.

Love that happy fish! Puts me in a good mood!

What are you decorating with? Is it being fired after you paint them? I'm suspecting you are using the Majolica method. That produces such great colors - and you have used them very well! Thanks for sharing!

  • Thats the thing Mari, I did glaze them. I glaze all my stuff because it add's a nice shine and brings out the colours more. So all of it is fired after they are painted, then fired again after they are glazed. The glaze is sposed to be tough like glass. Maybe it wasn't thick enough? I dunno. Thanks for the comments though

  • They're Gorgeous! I wanted to open a "Make your own ceramics store". Can you imagine booking birthday parties? But, it's just a dream and the last time I did ceramics was in 1985. Yikes! Do you sell them? Or is it just for fun?

  • I do it just for fun. I would love to get into selling them though. I have taken a break from doing it as I am not working. I will start again soon when I get a job and have some pocket money again.

  • I know what you mean. I've stopped painting since I've had kids, well, since before then and I'm DYING to get back into it. But need money and no kids around, which might not work since I miss them when I leave to go see a movie!
