I've seen the regular & extended version & most of the commentary as well. I don't remember a scene in either of the versions where it shows Hanna doing coke. The only time where it's even mentioned to my knowledge is during one of the commentary videos on the blu-ray where he talks about how Hanna was doing coke and that was the reason for his temper. If I'm missing something somewhere would you kindly point out what spot either version it shows Hanna doing some lines?

I doubt that people who criticize Pacino's performance in this scene know much about the movie. In an early version of the Heat script, Lieutenant Hanna had a cocaine addiction. His life is also crumbling around him, as you might notice from the movie. This is why Hanna is prone to erratic outbursts and unpredictable behavior.

This may have already been pointed out, but there is a reason for Pacino acting in this crazed manner. In the original script for Heat, there was a subplot about Pacino's character being a heavy cocaine user. So when he filmed his scenes, he acted like a crack-addled, middle-aged man. However, the director decided to drop the subplot from the finished film, but Pacino's scenes had already been filmed. Hope that helps.

Great movie, great scene. I always laugh watching this part. I've tried this a few times, the most recent - my wife and I were at a furniture store trying to negotiate a lower price on a massage chair. The dorky ass salesman was playing hardball, saying that all their prices were fixed and not subject to negotiation, so I screamed "GIMME ALL YOU GOT! ... GIMME ALL YOU GOT!!!"

Well, he didn't think that was funny, so I was like fuck you dickhead - I'll shop elsewhere. Good shit!
