OK Paul. Renew your mind: consider for one minute that it might all not be true - there hasn't been any evidence for 2000 years - and the evidence from then is pretty unreliable because people were superstitious and believed anything.

I really want people to feel the love that they all talk about, but it has to come from inside - not from a wrathful, vindictive deity who is so insecure he requires you to get on your knees every day and tell him he's good.

The Bible is the written Christ; all scripture testifies of Christ. To know how to pray, we must go to the scriptures. If something you learn or desire is not scriptural, then it is wrong.

@AlloNeson Amen brother, what you say is true. But remember that every word of G-d is true, useful for teaching and instruction, a shield to those take refuge in it. I would not discourage any one from reading it, but you are correct to say that without the source of life of the words, they will do very little to change your life.
