My HDi had hard suspension after several years so I swapped the spheres one Sunday morning in my front yard with minimum tools (60 mins) to get it super-comfortable again. It isn't fair to knock any car for failing where you skimp on the servicing.
thats why she kept stalling bad gaskets and the fuel injection would probably need cleaning, my dads xantia 96 estate was a cab and over 365k (miles) on it, but it the started to snap in half as it was rusting very bady where the rear passenger door rubs on the floor sill. also it failed its emissions so its now sat in his mates yard. all the doors are out of line and thats a defiant sign of snapping/buckling of the car body. 406s rule he kno has 1 of them a 90hp HDi good MPG hes a cabby LMAO
In fact, we didn't want to spend more money on this car, coz it was a wreck... so we got rid of it, and bought a Peugeot 406 ;) But of course, if we had changed the spheres, it would've worked thanks
Yes we had changed them, but since the engine was falling into pieces, we stopped reparing the car, so no new spheres, bumps and scratchs not repared, idle problem (never succeded in reparing that, tho lots of garage tried !)
i used to have a 1.9turbo diesel one but the clutch was burnt out, the 0-60 time was non existent and it had a phobia of hills apart from that great car....just wish id learnt french so i could read your video

Well the problem was.. everything in that car :
problems when engine was idle...
No back seats (well ...soooo unconfortable)
no suspension when it's more than 4 years old...
in fact, i stalled only twice with no idle engin, so i msut say i'm quite pleased with that ! The video just says it's a crap car :p
I only made this video for fun and for Friends, didn't need to rate it man ;)

Stupid car, revs with no reason to 6 thousand RPM, then stalls everytime you press the Clutch pedal...Have to blip the throttle constantly...
2005pierric 5 years ago
Cleaning the idle speed stepper motor would probably have fixed that, for free.
