The relationship with any employer I had was based on a fair exchange, my skills and time for their money. The employer always had the benefit of higher productivity from me, and higher return from the wages he paid. I took the initiative of rising above and the benefits were all mine, no grade 10 graduate running my life.

I have worked for ultra low wages in some deploreable working conditions in my time. There never was any union coming around to "help" us out. I decided to improve my skill set and educate myself and become more productive than the guy next to me. I was always able to directly to the owner of the business and negotiate my own wage, and prove my worth by out performing the guy next to me.
