I don't dislike the theory of evolution and I do believe that it is close to the truth. However, some things don't add up for me:
1- some complex organisms, or features of organisms (e.g. The eye), would never have become under the theory of evolution because it needs all parts of it to develop at exactly the same time, instantaneously, for it to provide any advantage in survival
2- evolution cannot explain why things die; its fundamental principle is that organisms wish to preserve their gen

Actually there are numerous models that explain the evolutionary steps that "could" be involved with the eye- Of course these "specific steps" can never be proven- they do definitively demonstrate that it is not only possible, but probable. All of the steps along the way in these models from simple light sensitive cells to fully functioning eyes actually exist in the animal kingdom.

I am not trying to be rude either. I was a Christian once. It wasn't until I was older that I realized how foolish it was to believe in something/someone that had no proof of existing now or ever. Well, why would we have monkey genes in our dna if not for evolution? There are some things science can't explain with regards to evolution but that does not mean that evolution is not possible or a hoax.

@mhairie1 Darwin has never suggested that we were MADE by monkeys. Over generations, monkeys have adapted to their environment. Some monkeys decided to use tools to help them, and started to act, in what we would call, a human way (walking like us, using their hands like us etc).
Over the millions of years, monkeys who were acting in a human way began to evolve, and eventually, we have now evolved into humans. You are also not made by sand, religiously or physically.(No offense to your religion)

Humans started out far better genetically and have degraded as time goes on. It is a "nice" myth that humans are getting smarter, more healthy and more fit, but the opposite is true. DNA is absolutely irrefutable physical evidence against evolution.

I don't dislike the theory of evolution and I do believe that it is close to the truth. However, some things don't add up for me:
1- some complex organisms, or features of organisms (e.g. The eye), would never have become under the theory of evolution because it needs all parts of it to develop at exactly the same time, instantaneously, for it to provide any advantage in survival
2- evolution cannot explain why things die; its fundamental principle is that organisms wish to preserve their gen

Actually there are numerous models that explain the evolutionary steps that "could" be involved with the eye- Of course these "specific steps" can never be proven- they do definitively demonstrate that it is not only possible, but probable. @mhairie1 Darwin has never suggested that we were MADE by monkeys. Over generations, monkeys have adapted to their environment. Some monkeys decided to use tools to help them, and started to act, in what we would call, a human way (walking like us, using their hands like us etc).
Over the millions of years, monkeys who were acting in a human way began to evolve, and eventually, we have now evolved into humans. You are also not made by sand, religiously or physically.(No offense to your religion)

an Arab scholar Ibn Khaldun actually came up with an idea similar to evolution in 14th century in his book The Muqaddimah in which he says: The higher stage of man is reached from the world of monkeys, in which both sagacity and preception are found, but which has not reached the stage of actual reflection and thinking. Biggest failure of evolution is it requies mutations..in otherwords...it must break the DNA code with a failure to introduce some aspect that is off beat or strange to its normal structure....major mutations rarely live and much less do they rarely pass on their defects to their progeny...but E requires this as a constant and constant and hereditarily continued to take all these alleged small defects to combines into one total one to begin a new specia...BANKRUPT..just read up on any mutations.

Indeed major mutations (as I would describe them) "rarely live", where youre wrong however is that E does NOT require "major mutations". It works generally on the cultivation of LITTLE (ie minor) mutations.

And this IS what we see, EXACTLY what we see- We have *directly* observed the formation of entirely NEW species in both plants and animals- a phenomenon known as speciation. If evolution is correct why are species distinct from each other with no evidence that they gradually evolved to other kind of species. Ever since apes are still apes, crocs are still crocs. Neandertals never interacted with modern man. Mutations are actually genetic defects. If you cross breed horse and donkey you will get a sterile mule. Fossils of lizards 250 million yrs ago indicated that they never evolved at all.

Humans started out far better genetically and have degraded as time goes on. It is a "nice" myth that humans are getting smarter, more healthy and more fit, but the opposite is true. DNA is absolutely irrefutable physical evidence against evolution.

There are a million theories on how life should be lived and who created us......if you sit down calmly and observe everyones theories/ideas from a neutral point of view......you will see that no one is right and no one is wrong, we're all just completely lost, and searching for answers. Because on average, human beings seem to need a certain idea/philosophy to ATTACH/HOLD ON TO, or else they feel lost and alone. I think the problem MIGHT BE "why the human mind needs something to hold onto?"

Question for the board. Secretariat had a mutant heart, 22 lbs. vs. avg. 8 lb. heart for a thoroughbred horse. His heart allowed him to run faster than any horse in known history. Arguably his mutation was good. None of his offspring had extra large hearts. Why was the mutation for an extra large heart not selected and passed to his offspring? That is how natural selection is supposed to work, right?

Thanks to this thing called "modern science" we actually know we didnt derive from chimps, and instead chimps branched off our line from a common ancestor. Point being I, nor no one else scientifically educated, is asserting "we (humans" derived from chimps". While chimps are apes, not all apes are chimps. Again, educate yourself.
