  • No words just amazing

  • B-B-B Benny and Jets

  • Great song

  • B B B BENNY AND THE JETS :D

  • he was actually so attractive back then! i wish he wasn't gay :( haha

  • muteli

  • cisferia es!!!

  • Love the chord at 0:48

  • Captain Fantastic at the top of his game.......

  • 1:37 "Maybe they're blinded, but Bennie makes them midgets" You don't know how many fights people get in trying to decider these lyrics at bars.

  • Genius.

  • Magic tune and performance....LOVE IT!

  • awesome

  • I love this fucking song!

  • hes amazing but am i crazy or is there a dog on the stage?!?!?!

  • Sounds awesome with or without the band ! ! ! Haha LOL

  • This guy should have won X-factor.!.He also looks very like Elton.although his voice is a cord or two out of synch.

  • @gmaccruyff55 what?

  • @blondebatsy Its a reflection of todays society. The over 40s grew up with musical geniuses, such as Elton. This new generation grow up with Karaoke tripe from x-factor.

  • Good jam!

  • Good ole jam reminds me of my youth!

  • love

  • This song plays in my job constantly.

  • its one of his best, and my favourite...benny and the jets!!!!

  • Love this live version of Benny and the Jets! Elton John is a great pianist and song writer, truly a timeless artist... If you like this version be sure to check out my live instrumental version of it on my channel!! Let me know what you think!

  • Better than anyone else, yep he is.

  • Scotland peeps

  • GREAT COVERAGE

    Where is Edinburgh?

  • it would be better with electric boobs

  • Apparently, and dont be spreading it around, but ive heard it on the grapevine that our elton is gay...?

  • Elton John has musical talent than Justin bieber so I don't see y the hell everyone loves him. Music these days r worse than the 70s.

  • Elton John is the manliest man alive

  • Amazing song. Just one chord, or one 'plonk' on the piano keys and the audience goes wild.

  • where is the bass gutiar

  • This reminds me of seeing Elton in Auburn, Al. along time ago. About 1973. He had the white piano and we were up real close to the stage. Good memory!

  • This guy sure knows how to command a crowd

  • Lady Gaga is the wannabe Elton John of today, but her music isn't even close to the same level.

  • @ploftus12 Watch Gaga sing Edge of Glory on piano on the Howard Stern show July 18. I'm a 46yr old musician, and that is one of the greatest performances I've ever seen. I think she is Elton's equal, time will tell. Also loved her doing Paparazzi solo piano in Australia.

  • @dadeeo44 you are an idiot! elton has truckloads of musical talent, a huge vocal range and sings songs with deep and meaningful lyrics (not that he wrote the lyrics) , not needing to dance around the stage to entertain while gaga is the latest popstar from the pathetic madonna mould who relies on machines to help her voice and provide her with rythm and melody, while using desperate publicity stunts and aweful provocative lyrics in order to sell. bad romance was a long point for popular music

  • he must wear a wig nowa days

  • @foreversam321 Whatever...

  • plays the shit outta that piano

  • Born in the 90's and still love this kinda music, thumbs up if your in the same boat.

  • @Danmitts RIGHT THERE WITH YA!

  • I was born in 04 and I'm loving this. I'm sorry what we (our generation) did to the music

  • @Tanko04 I was born in 08, so don't be sorry cause my generation will do worst.

  • @samalcohaulinass The Fuck that means your 3 or 4

  • @TheeKamara Yes.

  • @samalcohaulinass dude if you were born in 08 you should not be on the computer man

  • @CptGoom exactly

  • @CptGoom Ahahah, I wasn't born in 08 mate, relax. And Im not a man. We were just trying to make fun of the bullshit talking about "I was born in the 90's or later but I love this oldies." It is just a way to get attention and it should't be supported by thumbs up or being praised. Good and bad music was made before, good and bad music it's being made now. Any more words or comments about this matter it's useless information and a waste of time. Just sayin'.

  • @Tanko04 born in 04 (2004) you must be 7 going on 8... something doesn't seem right here

  • Amazing. One of the best entertainers to ever grace the music world.

  • @MrNotyag The reasons for Elton Johns success were: 1. talent 2. songwriting ability 3. musicianship 4. showmanship 5. and working bloody hard - although I agree with your comment on the masses in some cases - not this one though.

  • He was a strange ranger

  • (: i wish their was a lyrics vid of this song

  • Elton, the Lady Gaga of the 70's.........Lada Gaga, the Elton of the 2010's

  • @MrNotyag Because he has an immense amoun of lyrical and vocal talent . When you can write the songs he does and sing them that amazing you come and talk shit .

  • sounds like Dame Edna at the end

  • @MrNotyag lol. Whatever, brah.

  • Now Elton looks like a toad and sings like one too.

  • @38chinadoll Shut up.

  • @blaylockboys I think it was about the rock scene at the time.

  • It´s awesome!!

  • i wish i was born when this first came out .. now the music sucks :/

  • @sacititty103

The music still exists and you have your youth - win/win!

  • I LOVE WHEN HAYLEI REINHART SANG THIS!!!

  • elton john is a beast. what does this song mean??

  • @blaylockboys this song is about the explosion of the rock scene; find an inspiration, get a few buds, some wild outfits and the energy of the times would turn you into the stuff of legend . . . and it was true, too. Elton's appeal was his absolute rhythmic genius on that piano. I would sit on the floor, back pressed against the speaker, just massaging it in . . . I'm not sure anyone notices musical talent or musicianship anymore, so I don't expect anyone to understand why

  • um, I don't know where you've been but Lady Gaga mostly sings about self acceptance and how people should love who they are.... Anyway, I love Elton John!

  • i wish i was born 18 years earlier to hear this!!!

  • This is a man with real talent. Just him and an acoustic piano and it still rocks. Something that couldn't be pulled off by any of this generations' "artists" with record contracts...

  • @behlerfood Well Mika and Gaga have done similar things

  • @Wyzzard123 I disagree. Neither of them have the talent that Elton John has, especially Gaga. The only reason you even know of her is because she has a unique ability to manipulate the media but there's no substance behind the style. Even look at the lyrical content. Lady Gaga sings about getting drunk and laid while Bennie and the Jets is social commentary about how superficial the music business is. A little ironic, don't you think?

  • @behlerfood I guess I've come from a different generation. Don't have so much time to research about this stuff though... So I never really knew Elton John's appeal. It'd be nice if you replied me with more information (maybe in a message)

  • Great showmen

  • hehehe he makes me laugh! xD Loe to see comedy with the music

  • this whole concert was broadcast live on the radio in edinburgh as well ,sat listining to it in living room ,aahh the memories of 76 .where were you

  • Ba ba ba benny and jets!!!!!

  • I dont know to many singers, whos voice gets better with age.these rockers nowadays.there washed up after 10 years.and there voice is history.not e.j's

  • @highonbetter AND he got operated. He should be done. But no. He's the man.

  • Where in Edinburgh was he playing?

  • @MrSillybilly20 Unfortunate because?...how small your little world must be.

  • I like his voice now more than his young voice

  • Rocks unfortunately Benny!!!!

  • i thought haleys was nice

    but wow

    this is awesome

  • Elton John is the most amazing person ever

  • crowd was outstanding to amazing music

  • wtf the first three notes he play sounds like the beginning of justin bieber baby

  • What a great artiest

  • What a great artest

  • it sucks that american idol is being discussed in the comments

  • @peterguercio23 what sucks about that? his song is reborn once again. it's endless.

  • is elton john gay?

  • @bellarose0 yes and he said he was "comfortable" being gay.

  • thumbs up if u searched this song after watching american idol!!!!

  • With the glasses, he sorta looks like David cross

  • His voice now isn't just like what it was back in the 1970s or so

  • Big glasses

  • You know, when American Idol forces the contestants to do icons like Elton John, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, etc., they try their best to make it sound good. Personally, I think Haley did good with the song, but as always, it won't beat the original.

  • There is only one word to say: bravo.

  • HE. IS. COOOL!

  • ....aaand there goes the piano stool! AWESOME!!! Heck yes! I love this! :)

  • holy crap lady gags seriously tries to embody him when she sits in front of a piano and Madonna when she steps in the studio. None the less, gotta love Sir Elton John hats off!!!

  • @hmmm720 haha I luv ur comment

  • Just heard hailey from american idol sing this....omg amazing

  • f u American Idol...this is how to rock it out!!!

  • @Hmmmm720 that girl who sang this tonight just fricken SUCKED!

  • @Conqueror441 Nah, she wasn't bad, but of course the legend here shows how it should be done. Absolutely brilliant.

  • Another great classic.

  • HONKY!!!!! TERRIBLE!!!!!!!

  • Classic

  • Man i confused. I'm 15 i like rap and metal and hate this type of music. But the part after he says buh buh buh Bennie and the jets when he plays the piano sounds f-ing awsome lol.

  • @ipodtester1

They don't make music like they used to.

  • @Eeza07 Except for the great musicians that are still around.

  • @Eeza07 they do, but it's harder to find :)

  • agreed dude! they need to start this genre up again {=

  • @ipodtester1 Yeah thats all well and good..... but how can you not like this type of music man its fucking beautiful.... maybe you should listen to some more elton john and then you might realise how fucking awsome this type of music is :)

  • @ipodtester1 probably because that part you like so much has been sampled by so many rap/r&b artists it's ridiculous.

  • should have taken care of himself, and his voice. And then, he could still be this good.

  • I Love this man!!!!! I miss real music:( I am sooo glad I grew up when music was such a part of me:)

  • Another Elton classic....

  • The audience erupts into applause after one chord. Elton John Win.

  • @zoslowhand win what?

  • @44eelz

    One whole internet.

  • @zoslowhand I know. It's awesome that it's got such a recognizable first chord.

  • @zoslowhand Elton himself was taken by surprise!!

  • He had so much enthusiasm. I love how strong his voice was- had so much control. Incredible.

  • He USED to have such a wonderful voice......

  • I think ima cry jk XD

  • Thumbs up if you watched 27 dresses (which is why you're watching this). XD

  • he. is. adorable.

  • strange falsetto voice. Awesome tune tho

  • Why doesn't this have more views??

  • Bbbbbeny and the jets! :)

  • He looks pretty bald headed for being 29 in 1976. You would think he would have hair in 1976. I guess this is why he is so famous for wearing so many hats. I never knew that Elton John was so bald headed back then. He looked to have more hair later on in life. I'm confused. I usually associate being bald or going bald to be something significant related to older age. He must have had hair implants later on in life. Fast forward to now when he seems to have a full head of hair just fine.

  • @robbrichter2010 HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHHA Jesus you just made me choke on my water!!!

  • @dmfdmf3 struggling to see your logic behind a generalist comment like that, only making yourself look like a fool. Britain has class, I'm guessing you're either Irish or American, difficult to tell

  • @Combeferre94 Don't be such a Commie in here. Where someone is born & or nationality has nothing to do with logic. We are all humans of different educational levels & to base someone's logic as to where they come from , their background , color , creed or origin of birth shows how ignorant you are to society. We don't need any frickin' Archie Bunker's like you in here bagging on people & degrading them just because their opinions differ from yours. Be nice.

  • @Combeferre94 You make yourself look worse of a fool. I'm guessing you're a Commie. You must be a damn Limy who has a problem with the Irish & American's. Maybe with the entire world. Stop bringing your racist views upon people just because they differ with your opinion or you differ with theirs. I don't know what someone coming from a different country has to do with the comments they make here. Not everyone is going to agree with you , but nationality has nothing to do with someone's opinion.

  • a great musician,amazing piano player,so eternal,so good..........

  • Love the hair

  • I grew up with the music of Elton John. He's got more talent in his little finger than most of the "faces" they have now. The secret to his success, by and large, has been his amazing talent with songwriting. He recently said that the music of today is so bad because there's no good songwriters anymore. These "artists" of today don't write their own stuff, so they're gone when the fame of their one and only song dies out.

  • Tuesday the 17th of September 1976, 8:00pm, Playhouse Theatre, Edinburgh. £3.50 for a stalls ticket. The man was a genius. I miss those days so much, so many good tunes.

  • @worldcommunity He still is a genius, the Union is rightly getting raves from fans and critics alike

  • Homosexuality destroyed this mans life. Such great talent. He now sounds like a predatory alpha homosexual, with his ugly deep voice, even after the laser treatment he received which Steven Tyler popularized.

  • @dmfdmf3 Elton didn't suddenly become gay! It's homophobia that made life difficult for him and has driven others to suicide. Why do so many Elton pages on youtube get dragged down by comments on his sexuality? Strange that some other famous gay or bisexual stars aren't so stigmatised. Bowie said in a September 1976 interview with Playboy,"It's true—I am a bisexual. But I can't deny that I've used that fact very well. I suppose it's the best thing that ever happened to me"

  • @mizofan I'm not arguing with you about homosexuality. I'm saying if he took care of himself and didn't engage in sodomy and drugs like Freddie Mercury, he could have kept on singing. Today he is a talentless, broke hack.

  • @dmfdmf3 For a "talentless broke hack" his new album is getting an extraordinary amount of critical raves, including 5 stars in Rolling Stone. If anything, he's on the way back up.

  • @mizofan They can give it all the rave reviews they want. Surely you won't find a"Crocodile Rock", "Benny And The Jets" or "Don't Let The Sun" on there. Music cannot be produced at the behest of debt collectors.

  • @dmfdmf3 your abit of am ignorant twat arent you, his voice changed when he had surgery on his vcal chords, it has nothing to do with his sexuality. Grow the fuck up. If you dont like him, dont watch the fucking video

  • @mark110295 Yea, and he started growing a natural full head of hair too. The fact is, England is a degenerate nation and the British are a degenerate people. This guy's career has tanked, and he is a laughingstock. Let's leave it at that.

  • @dmfdmf3 Damn if they knighted laughing stocks then everyone would be a "Sir"

  • @waffleownage When you get knighted , which is never , then maybe you can have enough room to talk about those who are & were knighted like Sir Elton John who you may view as less worthy of than you in the ranks. Jealous fool ....

  • @robbrichter2010 I was not calling Elton John (or any other person who has been knighted) a laughing stock, I was doing the exact opposite

  • @dmfdmf3 Only to you.

  • @dmfdmf3 Yeah , let's.

  • @dmfdmf3 Your a predatory of You Tube. There must be a stereotype specifically for you & your jealous , Elton John envious filled , self loathing debacle of disposition somewhere in here...

  • 413,000! Good song

  • This was before he decided he was a sausage jockey.

  • Yo! I wanna be there BENNIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love it! get up ppl!

  • awesomeee!!!!

  • Haven't heard this tune for ages ... and I rfeally mean ages ... this was terrfic and still so enjoyable... tks. so much for this upload :-)

  • @mrpukingrainbows - he is most defantly NOT sexy! Have you SEEN what he wears??? Seriously. No.

  • hes sexy

  • wow. great and so different from how he appears now. whew!

  • Sorry to disagree "arnarne" butelton hasn't lost anything...once a legend always a legend!!! :o)

  • Totally amazing.

  • Saw him last night in Kingston Ontario - great show.

  • This has to be my favorite Elton John song!

  • Este va a ser mi mantra de hoy!
