I'm brickwalled at my ggg-grandfather. I did a YDNA 37-marker test about 3 years ago. So far, I've made contact with three genetic cousins, one of whom is also a documented cousin (which confirms that I'm on the right track, IYKWIM). They don't have any more info than I do, but they do trace back to the same place and time (Old Ninety-Six District). It may take years to get a breakthrough. It's a great tool, but don't expect immediate results--more of a long term investment.

@dsim200000 Yeah same here. I always wondered what ethnicities that I have cause I was told that I was part Russian and German bu wasn't quite too sure, when I get older I will take this test

There is a link on the site that says "DNA". Follow that and it will tell you how to get your testing done. Good Luck! It's like $149...
