I hate getting on here and seeing all these dumb asses trying to come up with sub genres and wrap everything up in a neat little package, it's either metal or it isn't. Worry about what sounds good and what sucks!
@Dreadtv1 There's a reason why people make these sub-genres up. It's so that they don't confuse something like, say, Job For A Cowboy with Arch Enemey, or Suicide Silence with Gorgorth. I like many different sub-genres of metal, but without them I wouldn't have anything to classify the sissy screamo shit and would have to just say the band names and hope people understood.

@Deicidekillsgod the government has nothing to do with the categorization of metal, its not a plot to split up metalheads, thats just retarded. metal and core are two obviously different things. yes its all metal, both are played with guitars, drums, bass, and a vocalist that can scream/growl, but the way they are played are completely different, and the type of fans are completely different. i prefer talent over popularity, and ill listen to metal before core.
this band is definently growing up and getting better first couple of albums were shit, ruination was really good and i have really high hopes for this album!

@Cessate I don't think it's necassarily appropriate to put the same velocity of disapointment on these core bands (especially ones like JFAC) as Nu-Metal bands; while I'm sure it's there, and it makes sense why it is there, these deathcore bands don't retreat to the principles of integrating mainstream hip-hop/electronic culture and style, but do form similar nostalgia in the fact that the level of understanding is marred by a peculiar terminology based sub-culture, you know?
