HA! Excellent. Perception usually implies point of view, an assumption that turns out to be false in the case of a visual paradox so as long as we are stuck in that point of view we are stuck in the paradox. Change your point of view, change your perspective.

As a punchline, that was pretty good, but it didn't turn out to be THE punch line... more of a warning, really. Changing your point of view might resolve one paradox that is bugging you, but it might also expose another larger paradox.

i think it has to do... with how ppl are always going in circles through life. the same routine... he hits the camera so that the stairs can go down, and so he is able to escape the circle he was running through... but even so... where he is in life... his town is a circle... i guess it means no matter what things will never change... society will still go around and around, other make choices for us and we choose to follow.

I think the camera symbolises perception, the way we look at things, and him hitting it was forcing the camera to change its angle, to give it a different perspective on the view, thus changing the situation now it sees it in a more three dimensional way.

this is a spoof on a famous painting by M.C. Escher i believe it's called Ascending and Descending.

i think that he was trapped into a messed up camera. all the cameras were the same one and he saw what they saw because of the angle and when he broke the cycle of them all being the same camera, the other took its place in a different angle. so, when he broke the cycle, it got all messed up and he got stuck in many cycles for eternity. wow.
