Most of us hardcore Shane fans love the man like he's part of the family.

When I see the Pogues in concert, I find myself feeling sadness for Shane's condition while at the same time celebrating his resilience and his artistic brilliance.

@colincoby No. I love Shane's brilliant songwriting and his skill as a performer when he's on form is immense, but his self-destructive tendencies have really taken a toll on his talents, as evidenced here; lets face his, repeating verses, slurring words, and generally behaving drunkenly on stage and knocking everything over wouldn't usually be acceptable behavior. Shane's a genius and a legend, but he's a mess and I really do think that he could use some help.

I agree he's wonderful, but he drinks like a sponge. If you don't recognize when somebody has been drinking, I sure do and have seen it in his videos. I don't know how anyone could delude themselves into thinking he doesn't drink. That does'nt mean he's not greatly talented.
