Have you guys notice the tasers the russians develop, is way, way superior than the taser from the us, is semi automatic which means you don't have to change cartridges every one shoot, is a loader with 10 shots. I say this because is sad to know that they can do it here in the us too but greed wont let them, the more cartridges the consumer buys more profit, the're just holding us down when in russia you can get a semi auto taser, that sucks.

A single cartridge can shock a victim many times, but to "fire" new probes, a new cartridge is needed (they are replaceable). a background check is required upon purchase. Carry My C2 everyday. Just the Laser feature is a deterrent. I spoke with an officer today and he is a martial arts instructor and recommends the C2 for his students. He said the Taser is the best tool to come along in the 25 years he has been in Law Enforcement.

It doesn't work on the principal of pain. The high voltage electric shocks override the nervous system, causing the muscles to contract involuntarily. Basically, the taser paralyzes you for a brief period of time. Of course, it is painful, but the pain isn't what stops an attacker.

This is BULLSHITE. Independent testing in Canada has just proven that the M-26 Taser is unreliable . 80 % of the weapons tested did not live up to the manufactures spec's. Some were under currentt encouraging multiple trigger pulls while others over charged, something Taser Inc said 'can't happen.'

No doubt people have died as a result of this.

Taser is an excellent product. The c2 is designed to run for 30 seconds before turning off. This gives the person a chance to run from the attacker. And actually the Taser is designed to be used from point blank to 15 feet. Of course the farther out you get the greater the probe spread thus, the incapation effect. If you are close than you get pain compliance but as soon as the attacker grabs a wire he gets alot more pain. I recomend it to citizens all the time.

The taser is a LESS THAN LETHAL device, and an excellent option for law enforcement. Those who criticize it's use really don't grasp that before this, police policy was one of logic: Stop the guy with the knife/gun/bat by any means possible, and the only long range option they had was to shoot them with a pistol. This broadens their options and INCREASES chances of a safe solution to a violent incident. It won't replace guns, but gives option

If you use a taser in a situation where you'd normally have to use a gun, then the taser is a good idea as it prevents what otherwise would be a sure death.

However when you use it because your simply to lazy to deal with a civilian who's giving you some lip.

Then your needlessly risking killing that person, and creating lasting emotional scars.

Especially when its used against 11 year olds, and the elderly as many police seem to enjoy doing.

If you have multiple attackers while carrying anything other than a pistol, you are pretty much screwed. UNLESS you are VERY skilled. And mace will only get you so far, you can;t "hose down a room" the only way to even get close to that is a police issue, duty carry, and that is much too big for concealment.

Actually the Taser has been clear in all cases as being the primary cause of death. Exams by the Medical examiners in every case have determined that the suspect would have died if the officers had used other means to take the suspect into custody. It is the suspect's excessive resistance that caused the cardiac arrest, not the taser itself.

I actually canceled my order after a police officer told me that in most cases one of the darts will miss the target. You also have to stand back at least 4 feet for the device to be fully effective. We are sticking with our Smith and Wesson revolvers and pepper spray.

Yes he sure did. We still purchased the Taser C2 and we watched the training DVD. If you do miss you still have the back up drive stun feature. If one dart hits and the other one misses you can still close the circuit by drive stunning the guy in another part of the body. I carry the C2 everywhere and always have it at hand. Everyone should have one in their home or within easy reach.

How does it eject it? Is it spring loaded? I knew a police officer who uses CAP-STUN BRAND PEPPER SPRAY and they holster she has contains a spring so when you open the case the can pops up so its easy to grab. Downside is the trigger top on CAPSTUN must be carried in a special holster or it can easily go off. I like Sabre RED and SPitfire.
