@AnK11Morrison India has a long history and is a huge country which always could absorb and develop civilisations. My Ustad -Ustad Sultan Khansahib- played the Sarangi on this soundtrack ( it is in the introductory piece). The Tabla was played by Kareem Mohammad ( brother of Gulam Mohammad Sahib ) , who also played Tabla in that song Dhundo Dhundo Re Sajna. It is therefore fairer to say , i think, that India is the land of many religions and its arts reflect this.

i read that Katrina Kaif will embody this character and attempt the complex choreography in Farah khans new movie "Tees Maar Khan " starring Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and previously mentioned, Katrina Kaif. Personally i saw the trailer and her attempt was not as good as this performance, although interesting movie :D

Did you know the place where kabba is; that exact same place used to be a pagan pre-islamic arab holy site as well , long before the birth of prophet mohammed. You can do some research on the history of the kabba if you'd like. Scientifically the kabbah is located on a energy vortex where it is easier for divine energy to flow down to the earth, there are quite a few locations like that around the world where people have worshipped for millinea.

Not really, yes we indians/asians are idol worshippers but the islam, food, culture in india is more closely related to turkey and iran than arabia...also we have many zoroastrians living in india who are of persian descent, and in my temple where we go to sing bhajans there are many sufi muslims that come and sing bhajans with us to lord krishna....only in india and central asia will you find such a thing.

Iranians and Indians/Pakistanis are cultural cousins. The Zoroastrian faith has parallels with religious concepts found in Hinduism and to some extent in Jainism, Buddhism, and Sikhism which branched out of Hinduism. Sikhism is a "compromise" faith between Islam and Hinduism.
The Mughals were not Arab Muslims, but Turkic Muslims who introduced Persian culture to India. The kathak is heavily influenced by Persian dance forms. The Taj Mahal has Farsi inscriptions, not Urdu.

South Asians in general seem ashamed of their skin color and heritage. Only since 1979, do we witness an Arabization of Desi Muslims due to Salafi colonization of the masjid by Saudi clerics and Indo-Pak immigration to the Gulf Arab states. India may be an economic powerhouse, but still has more people living in squalor compared to Africa. Africa's population as a continent does not even come close to the subcontinent. Pakistan is a failed state.

urdu is a dead language in India, even Indian muslims read and write devnagri script. Bengalis have completely abandoned urdu, they also write in devnagri script and speak bengali language. urdu is not a language at all. its just a mix of hindi with some extra persian and arabic words. The entire grammar of urdu is based on sanskrit. Thats why iranians and arabs cannot understand urdu. But then why it is written in arabic script? Its nothing but a mongrel language, confused about its ancestors.
That is the reason urdu is dead in India. No one speaks urdu, and even the muslims read and write in devnagri rather than urdu script.
Bengalis also broke off with pakistan to avoid urdu.

The language of Hindi movies and songs is Hindi not urdu (except for a few prostitute based movies like pakeezah and umrao jaan). the producers, writers, singers, actors all call them Hindi. Urdu is spoken only on pakistani news channels like PTV which is completely different from Hindi movies.
Hindi rules, urdu is dead in India. Even in pakistan people watch mostly Hindi movies. So much for the pakistani urdu movie industry.
