Watch the other vids and this one already 10secs in i can sooooo much stuff!! your kindness groups are outstanding!!! this makes people smile and me too XD,
@codelocator don't be silly. heh heh heh The long run belongs to us. Helping people is always good. A hungry person cares not whose cash bought the food. Tell Cameron in any way you can and see what happens.. I'll do the same!
I'm unlikely to tell Cameron anything. I'm serious though, he could've come up with the idea himself. You understand that people shouldn't have to rely on charity to eat, right? I mean, this is a rich country.
"A hungry person cares not whose cash bought the food." That's a bit glib and I'm not so sure it's true,
Who are these hungry people getting the Old El Paso charity anyway?
Hmmm. Were they short of food, and full of hungry people? It's not good food. I worked with shelter, food was rarely the problem.
You can't avoid politics unfortunately, and I smell Tory all over this. I've got a real nose for it too. I'll presume that's not intentional and just naive probably privileged(?) behaviour, but then, I wouldn't be surprised if it was politically funded. Who have you had 'help' from?
@codelocator No political funding as of yet, but I see no reason they shouldn't take funding from the government, if it was offered. You just don't get it do you. People need food. Who says its not good food except you? I buy the stuff and eat it all the time. General mills does quality stuff. You don't smell Tory, you just smell. Backing from people like Boris helps get more support, and helpsmore people. What do you do to make the world better?
'Helps more people'. The government's responsible. Backing from Tories like Boris is received because it serves the interests of Tories like Boris... which are the interests of the rich. In this case it serves to alleviate the negative publicity the Tories get from the widespread suffering their ideological cuts are causing. This isn't about making the 'world' feel better, it's about you.
@codelocator TKO have figured out that companies will provide real products by the truck load to be part of a Kindness Offensive, because it is good publicity. So companies get good publicity for doing a good thing. There is nothing wrong with that. How else can we encourage companies to realize that doing good is a good idea. Why shouldn't there be something in it for people who do good. Karma works that way, people enjoy beng good. Give everyone a chance to shine and when they do, say thanks.
@codelocator it seems that you've got accurate presumtion skills that you mistake with a keen sense of smell, I barely know about politics, but is it the people that work for the mator, or the mayor that work for the people?
I agree with XATTaxlessMoney : as a citizen, unit of the people, or whatever you see yourself in society, how do you make administration or corporations doing good deeds for the community? this is the most important question if you bothered about what's good for the people
@laswergio I agree with you. Funny thing you notice about people who complain that TKO are getting help from the wrong place, they never suggest a 'right place' and rarely offer to help themselves. There may be some satisfaction in complaining from the side lines, but I guess it is in no way as satisfying as actually being part of the Kindness being given.
well obviously. you make corporations 'do good' by not supporting them at all, corporations don't 'do good'
they just make profits for shareholders.
the only reason they work with your Dave Cameron 'big society' plan is because it's in their interests. this clip is just an advert. for the Tories as much as anyone.
This is excellent coverage of a miraculous event, which brought smiles to children all across the Capital, and meals that will no doubt save lives in this bitter cold. While the government makes cuts, The Kindness Grows. All those involved should feel proud.
@codelocator you say:"You didn't save any lives!!! All that comment shows is how naive and likely privileged you are to even think such nonsense. totally out of touch." Not really sure what you are responding to. Soup kitchens are a last resort which do save lives for people who rely on them, and TKO helping to supply food to soup kitchens is part of that. If you do not recognise that, I venture that it is you who is out of touch. You been on the street out there in the cold have you? I have.
You didn't save any lives, no one that wants to eat goes hungry. 'Soup kitchens' wouldn't have had no food if not for you. People who die on streets do so because of alcohol and/or other substance abuse, not lack of food.
Self important tosh, advertising tories and junk food, burning fuel, whole lot of energy and really, for what?
If you actually gave a shit about homelessness or, umm.. famine, you'd try to find the root of the problem instead of this pointless fannying around.
@codelocator you say: If you actually gave a shit about homelessness or, umm.. famine, you'd try to find the root of the problem instead of this pointless fannying around."
The root of the problem is sadly people like you who do not understand how each and every bit helps. You think your time is well spent discouraging people, rather that recognizing the good they do, for what it is. What makes you think you are qualified to pronounce on what I care about?
thanks for sharing much love and light

@codelocator The food was distributed to soup kitchens which provide food for homeless people across London.
