To any intelligent human-being - my contention is: why would nobody never want to know about the one faith [i.e. Islam] or read the one scripture [i.e. Quran], which is at the centre of almost all global political, social, legal and military subjects? Think about it!

You can have Gods love just by asking for it. You can have eternal relationship with God just by asking for it because Jesus has done the work to fix our severed relationship with God. And if you accept him his work will justify you regardless of what you have done, are doing and ever will do.

Jesus is not only called the son of God but also the the lamb of God. Does this mean that Jesus was not human? Another realy important way to understand what "Son of God" means is to understand the story of Abraham. Abraham was about to sacrifice his son because he knew that God was good and if God wanted to He could resurrect his son. But instead of having Abraham kill his son He provided a substitue (a lamb)for Abraham to sacrifice. Jesus is the son of God that was given up for the sins of all people. Additionally he is the lamb of God the substitute that took the place of all sinners.

Read John ch13 Here Jesus washes the disciples feet to show them what love is, and to show what it means to be a authority. Servitude is authority. God serves Jesus, Jesus serves the holy spirit and the Holy Spirit serves God.

The pronoun which refers to humans cannot be applied to Allah, but He is used with the understanding that Allah does not have a "sex" like his creations. I think its the same thing for angels, they are referred to with male pronouns but they dont have a sex like humans do.

One thing I've learned so far in Islam is that a lot of people will attack the faith, when they should be attacking Muslims! The reason why one should take islmaic history from a muslim is because muslims understand the religious and cultural background of some events in islamic history. For example when Uthman the khalifah ordered qurans to be burned the western mind thinks of this situation differently without the proper context of the issue at hand. The rape case I'm talking about did end with the men being punished, but also the woman. This is the weirdness that I'm talking about. Such bizare punishments don't come from nowhere, but I must admit I don't know enough about Sharia law to talk about how Islamic they are.

The Quran was written to solve the problems that existed in the Arabian peninsula in the 7th century. It provided perfect solutions for the problems of the time, for about 30 years. As soon as the Muslims started expanding their territory Islam was doomed to failure because it was never meant to be applied to communities other than small tribes living in an inhospitable environment. All the bullshit like the Hadith etc was made after the fact in an attempt to make Islam relevant.

When the Muslims expanded out into other areas outside the peninsula they were no longer able to live by the Quran, hence the creation of Hadiths and Sharia. hadith is the saying and actions of the prophet so it came in the same time as the quran. Sharia is the rules and laws that are taken form the quran and hadith.

The only time Quran ever truly succeeded was between the years 610 and 632, while Muhammad was still alive. As soon as Muhammad died, Muslims were lost. The ahadith were compiled in around the year 800 because the Quran was inadequate in instructing people how to live in a community bigger than the original ummah in Medina in the early 600s.
Learn history. After our Prophet (pbuh) Muslim Empire stretched from Spain to China. Even in India, so far from Mecca, Muslims ruled the entire continent. Ottoman Empire founded 600 years after His(pbuh) death and ruled all over Europeans. The reason Muslim power decreased is that muslims themselves quit their religions. When you look at history it goes like this: when muslims holds religion they become more powerful, the opposite with christians.
I know that, I already mentioned the Arabian calpihate in medieval times. They defeated the Persians and the Byzantines. But these are just the surface details of the history of Islam. The Islamic empires were characterised by attempts to reconcile their present government styles with the Quran. Most Muslims in those days acknowledged how far their society had deviated from Muhammad's original idea of the Ummah. This is what I mean by 'Muslims were lost'.
To any intelligent human-being - my contention is: why would nobody never want to know about the one faith [i.e. Islam] or read the one scripture [i.e. Quran], which is at the centre of almost all global political, social, legal and military subjects? Think about it!

I'm a Catholic. I've studied and researched, in great depth, to satiate my profound curiousity of whether or not I belong to the true Christian faith. I asked myself: "Why am I not Orthodox? Why am I not Protestant?"
Then I thought: "Well, why am I even a Christian?" lol
Then I asked myself "Well, why am I not a Muslim?" LOL

I'm an atheist (a former Christian) but Islam really appeals to me, but how does Islam explain our empirical world?
Science has an answer to almost anything empirically reducible, for example: science has proven that our consciousness is manifested in the brain.
It's really difficult for me, because that's what I believe, yet every Muslim I hear speaking about their religion seems so right.
I've always had problems with Christianity; I never believed Jesus was the son of God.

lol Allah is not the name a the pagan moon god, astaghfirullah. in the Quran, God clearly says do not worship the sun or the moon, these are only CREATIONS from God.
Also in aramaic, the language jesus spoke, God was called Allaha.

Philippians 2:5-8 really does sum it up, of course he can die if He wants to, it's the greatest sacrifice ever made and all we can offer back our lives.

Our oldest translation of the Greek text, the Sahidic Coptic, translates it as "and the word was a god." Jesus was a god in his pre-existence. Angels are gods (Psalm 8:5), so why not Jesus who is God's highest creation?

you have to understand success to define failure. I am a messenger of God therefore I share his message. It is the prerogative of the recipients of that message to accept it or not. Jesus is not only called the son of God but also the the lamb of God. Does this mean that Jesus was not human? No it means that Jesus would be the sacrificial lamb that would die for the sins of humanity, so that whoever believed in him would not die but have eternal life.

We can learn alot from Paul. He was passionate about God so much that he set out to persecute and kill christians. He (Saul) led a mob that stoned Stephen to death (read Acts ch. 7-8). He and the mob who did this felt that they were following God (Deut 13:6-9). Paul later met the risen Jesus and converted to christianity and wrote over half of the new testament. He valued Gods Grace (free salvation) for his wrongdoings so much that he eventually died sharing the Gospel(good news about God).

Another realy important way to understand what "Son of God" means is to understand the story of Abraham. Abraham was about to sacrifice his son because he knew that God was good and if God wanted to He could resurrect his son. But instead of having Abraham kill his son He provided a substitue (a lamb)for Abraham to sacrifice. Jesus is the son of God that was given up for the sins of all people. Additionally he is the lamb of God the substitute that took the place of all sinners.

Read John ch13 Here Jesus washes the disciples feet to show them what love is, and to show what it means to be a authority. Servitude is authority. God serves Jesus, Jesus serves the holy spirit and the Holy Spirit serves God.
Jesus served God by fulfilling the law(dying on the cross), God served Jesus by sending him and giving him all authority and the Holy spirit was sent by Jesus to serve him (Luke 24:49).

You are right! on his own he could do nothing. Jesus relied on the father and the father relied on the Holy spirit. When someone is serving you, you are relying on them to do something for you. The greatest of all is the servant to all!

The real reason why you don't agree with me is because you don't have Gods Spirit. You don't even believe that God has a Spirit. How else could you deny that the Holy Spirit is God. Now if you don't have Gods Spirit then what spirit do you have? Having Gods Spirit is a free gift anyone can have by believing in Jesus. If you can't belive in Jesus then believe in the undeserved, sacrificial, Holy Love of God and ask Gods love to change you and bring your closer to him.

Man!.. spirit is creation.. It's not a Godly nature... God created the heavens and Earth.. Created everything that existed in this world. So, why god needs spirits, He's the one that gives spirits to his creation. If god has spirit, then He's like his Creation. Because of the Arabic language. Allah has no gender. In Arabic, any noun that has no gender will automatically take 'he' to refer to it. I might be wrong, an Arab brother should be able to answer this. I'm sorry if I'm wrong. Ramadhan kareem.

The pronoun which refers to humans cannot be applied to Allah, but He is used with the understanding that Allah does not have a "sex" like his creations. I think its the same thing for angels, they are referred to with male pronouns but they dont have a sex like humans do.

According to the Quran, God is unlike any of the creations of the heavens and earth. Here is Chapter 112 of the Quran which only consists of 4 verses and sums up everything:
Say: He is GOD, the One and Only
God, the Eternal, Absolute
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten
And there is none like unto Him
We as humans should make it a habit to seek God's forgiveness on a daily basis. If done sincerely, we will die as sinless submitters and receive eternal salvation (no punishment)

One thing I've learned so far in Islam is that a lot of people will attack the faith, when they should be attacking Muslims! Muslims are not "Moslems" they are using the faith and misinterpreting it to do as they fell is just, not what is right by Islamic law. So I do agree that many horrible things happen in the name of Allah, but it are fools, non-believers that are the one's shouting his name during these heinous acts. The reason why one should take islmaic history from a muslim is because muslims understand the religious and cultural background of some events in islamic history. For example when Uthman the khalifah ordered qurans to be burned the western mind thinks of this situation differently without the proper context of the issue at hand. As 3ashikatulshahada mentioned, Islam is what you make of it. But yes I agree, if the Hadiths are followed, rape is something that Muhammad simply didn't do.
The rape case I'm talking about did end with the men being punished, but also the woman. This is the weirdness that I'm talking about. There's lots of this kind of thing going on in Islamic countries. Such bizare punishments don't come from nowhere, but I must admit I don't know enough about Sharia law to talk about how Islamic they are.

This is where you are wrong. The people who know history best are the people who study history. I know a lot more about American history than many Americans I talk to. I know a lot more about the Palestine/Israel conflict than a friend of mine who is Palestinian, simply because I've studied the history.
It's absurd to say that if you're born French you immediately know French history.

The Quran was written to solve the problems that existed in the Arabian peninsula in the 7th century. It provided perfect solutions for the problems of the time, for about 30 years. As soon as the Muslims started expanding their territory Islam was doomed to failure because it was never meant to be applied to communities other than small tribes living in an inhospitable environment. All the bullshit like the Hadith etc was made after the fact in an attempt to make Islam relevant.

Even when the Arab caliphate was the dominant empire in medieval times Islam itself was doomed to failure. Like I said, the Quran was written as a means of guiding people how to live in the harsh conditions of the Arabian peninsula. When the Muslims expanded out into other areas outside the peninsula they were no longer able to live by the Quran, hence the creation of Hadiths and Sharia. I'll address your other point in a moment.

I'd like to see proof that Islam is compatible for every age and every place. From what I can see, Islam can't cope with the modern world. The only time Quran ever truly succeeded was between the years 610 and 632, while Muhammad was still alive. As soon as Muhammad died, Muslims were lost. The ahadith were compiled in around the year 800 because the Quran was inadequate in instructing people how to live in a community bigger than the original ummah in Medina in the early 600s.

Learn history. After our Prophet (pbuh) Muslim Empire stretched from Spain to China. Even in India, so far from Mecca, Muslims ruled the entire continent. Ottoman Empire founded 600 years after His(pbuh) death and ruled all over Europeans. The reason Muslim power decreased is that muslims themselves quit their religions. When you look at history it goes like this: when muslims holds religion they become more powerful, the opposite with christians.

I know that, I already mentioned the Arabian calpihate in medieval times. They defeated the Persians and the Byzantines. But these are just the surface details of the history of Islam. The Islamic empires were characterised by attempts to reconcile their present government styles with the Quran. Most Muslims in those days acknowledged how far their society had deviated from Muhammad's original idea of the Ummah. This is what I mean by 'Muslims were lost'.
