220 and 301 refer to season and episode (books and chapters) 2 means book 2. 20 is the episode #. 3 is the book and 01 is the episode meaning that it took place after last episode of season 2 and before season 3's first episode.

Perhaps when Aaang have children of his own, they could be the reincarnations of his last past lives: earth, water, & fire. It could be possible, since in the show, the Avatar can be seen as the same and different spirit at the same time.

If you think it through I'm sure you mean descendant, not child. I'm sure you didn't mean this, but if you think your original scenario through, it's rather an awful thing. It would mean, somewhere in the 9 months of pregnancy, Aang, followed by 3 babies (the water, earth and fire incarnations) would have to die. Unless the reincarnation happens at conception (not birth), in which case it would just be impossible.
