Harp harmonics:

Fret the note you want with your fretting hand and then lightly touch the index finger of your picking hand to the same string but 12 frets higher. Whilst doing this, pick the string with the thumb of your picking hand.

e.g. To play a C you might press the A string at the 3rd fret and lightly touch above the 15th fret.

Think of it as playing natural harmonics, but you are moving the position of the guitar nut depending on where your fretting hand is pressing. Hope that helps!

Why is Omar amazing? I don't know, listen to one of the ten or so albums he's put out this year alone and tell me what you think. Listen to Cryptomnesia with Zach Hill, or Old Money, or any of the Volta releases and tell me who is on that level in terms of sheer brilliance, creativity, and unabashed self-indulgence (in the good way).
