  • hahahhahahahahahahahahhahaahhaa, is that a white dude painted black??

  • I shot this out near Mexico, the Imperial Sand Dunes....same place they shot some of the stuff from Star Wars.

  • Where did you shoot this? This is amazing!

  • what so good about P2 cards.

  • If anyone is interested in seeing the quality of this camera in a recent upload to 1080P quality.Check our upload, just type in (create Shoes Advert)shot film noir lighting.Even with Youtube codec still looks good in my opinion.

  • does the hvx200 record audio in 60fps?

  • if cheated the DOF by zooming in on those slow shots, were you using a steady cam to get that smoothness? or is that just the built-in stabilizer? i cant believe theres no 35mm adabter in this footage! amazing!

  • @rainerfilm...i think he's protecting his skin from the hot desert sun.

  • Great footage!

  • That guy has serious sun burn.

  • this is sooo awesome i love it

  • disregard what the naysayers would say, this is quality cinematography.

  • Nice Job! Nice camera.

  • Take it easy there queer...relaxs

  • the actor and everything else will be black if the exposure is to high -.-

  • Thomas Edison's light bulb invention was long long time ago,if you have hvx200 you should have some lights in equipment cause this cam alone costs some serious money so how about a couple of lights ?

  • did you read the info box? 'Raw Camera Dailies'. this shoot wasn't big planned. so you can't expect that he always carries 500W lights with him.. especially in the middle of the desert.

  • Wow, bWWd0 -- You really think there is a formula to what's "right" and what's "wrong" in Hollywood films, don't you??? I see no problem with the Desert Man's white sky...in fact I think you're dead wrong. You fell for the illusion that Hollywood skies are always blue, but look again without being wrapped up in the story. Interesting how you will be deceived. Keep it up, Flofactor!!!

  • go and film on full auto ,bye.

  • yeah dude, denekes is right. There isn't a right a wrong. But I'm glad closed minded people like you exist, or my films wouldn't stand out as much ;)

  • yes yes ,auto exposure and bye ,watch films and compare or swap with me for sonyhi8 if you dont want to shoot filmic takes and white sky is yur latest discovery of own style

  • I think he's just pissed off because he ain't got a camera of his own. That's what envy does. Anyways all this going on is just a big waste of time. GET DOWN TO DOING STUFF!!! Peace out

  • LOVE the colors man!

  • Always wondered what it'd look like to see blackface on an HVX

  • Very very cool, really filmic, y no music? How much footage can those p2 cards hold and are they worth the ridiculous price?

  • the p2 cards hold 72 hrs of footy on each card

  • or 32 if in HD

  • that could pass for super 35

  • compressed on you tube? this could pass for IMAX. trust me, the dif between super 35 and the hvx is like a bike and a space shuttle.

  • lol nice analagy. i love super 35. my school has 3 arricams!

  • the opening shots where great. almost filmic, very nice

  • What is this blackface minstrel-show bullshit?

  • It's awesomest to the max my friend. blackface is the new whiteface. Didn't you hear? The Wayans brothers didn't bother me in white girls so get over it brutha.

  • Can the HVX record at 60p/1080p?

If not, how does it jump from a shot filmed at 24p/1080p to 60p/1080i without looking funny?

Please get back to me. My head hurts!

  • technically it wouldnt jump, because when the slowmtion footage is played back, it IS actually going 24p...he just shoots in 60p so when its played back slower it looks the same as 24p, gives a rele nice slow motino effect

  • What did you use to paint your body?

  • blackman juice

  • awasome footage! did u use a 35 mm adapter?

  • just brilliant. interested to know if P2 or DV. Thanks

  • Shot it P2 at 60fps to get the slow motion effect

  • @flofactor Does it lose resolution when in slow motion?

  • Was this in HD or standard Mini DV?

  • Yeah he looks black but his mouth really gives it away. Cool sample video with nice colour.

  • waw... i actually thought this guy was actually black... lol

But any way love HVX200, very poetic very film like. My dream Camera~~

  • can anyone tell me what in the hell is going on in this video?

  • it is just a test video

  • check out my stuff with the HVX200 and the Redrockmicro 35...our HVX's kick butt

  • Wow.

the more i see from this camera, the less impressed I am.

  • haha

  • would love to see what's better in this price range. you're ridiculous.

  • Is this a good camera for using on a green screen with just regular mini-dv tapes (havn't gotten the P2 cards yet)?

  • DV is as good a DV can be with Green Screen. Wouldn't recommend. Invest in the cards, the key will come out considerably better

  • very nice piece. was it shot at 50fps? Am contemplating getting the HVX....very nice shots though.

  • 60fps...HVX is a great camera if used properly! I highly recommend!

  • this was shot at 60fps??? then why has it got that film-look? or is that because you slowed it down to 24fps??

  • compression methods for youtube please?

  • Just H264 straight out of Final Cut....I even downconverted to DV 23.98 upon export

  • Can you buy lenses for the xvx? How do you do DOF?

  • I know you can use lenses with the PS Technik adaptor, but this was shot straight with the regular camera only. Cheating depth of field by shooting further away and zooming in.

  • How is zooming from a distance cheating?
