Since this game was made first... When you play this game you sometimes forget you playing mana and that you are playing chrono trigger instead... Its like Chrono trigger is a mod of secret of mana.... A lot looks exactly the same even the 2 main characters., the cloths, the menu, the way the characters move, the main character stance and etc
It is possible to get all to lvl 8.99 and all magic to 8.99, it takes a hell of a long a time... And all the orbs gathering from the mana fortress for the weapons.
the best combination is both mana magic's from dryad AND... MOON ENERGY AND LUNAR BOOST!, every hit will give you 999 dmg, you can take out flammy the first time he hovers in front of you...
CAST CONE OF COLD then use MAGIC MISSLE. MAGIC missle will do 1d4 damge per missle. You get one missle per every 2 lvls over lvl 2. So if your lvl 99 then you sould get about 50billion missles. Cone of cold will freaze for 1d4 rounds!!!!!!
You can level up everything pretty effectively just with frame skipping. I just hold down ` and let te others kill the enemies. It doesn't take too long getting the orbs that way either.
is this savegame cheated? lvling up all those weapons and spells should have got you up to 9.999.999 GP. im half done with my lvls and already at 6mio :S

actually dryad (the tree) last spell is unlocked after killing Lich King both the sprite and the girl have it just have them cast it at the same time on main char. and the dragon will drop like a rock!! :) ps. main guy has to have the sword in hand

I finally read what I believe to be the answer on another forum.
As in Seiken Densetsu 3 (the sequel to this game), all of the enemies have innate levels. You can't normally see them; but to increase your weapon level, you have to defeat enemies that are higher than your level.
The highest leveled enemy in the game is the Terminator, at 69. So, it's not possible to level your weapons up at 70 or higher.
You can also do that with spells, they will show bigger and do hella more damage. I forget exactly how to do it but I would call em 'master level' spells.

No I'm pretty positive my magic levels were higher than 8:99 ..I wish I had that game or my SNES would work then I'd prove it. It is possible and I don't think it was a glitch cuz it happened again on another game. You just gotta obsessively cast spells but I'm positive everything has to be 8:99.
I'm pretty sure I didn't get any secret elemental named Solar lol. I'm positive I didn't have any hacks either. I just kept casting and casting..my memory is fuzzy it was 12 years ago though but I'm absolutely positive it wasn't a cheat. Certain it wasn't a 9th elemental although I do think it's something to do with elementals...I wanna say it's something to do with the Mana Tree!! My memories are coming back but it's still fuzzy. Is there something that happens with the stones when u see MTree?
I can remember the Mana Fortress being already up when I achieved lvl 9 and beyond. It's something you gotta go out of your way to do, it's essentially gamewise kinda pointless just bragging rights IIRC since all that's left is the Mana Fortress I THINK. But I assure you it was no hack and I'm pretty certain no Game Genie code.
you don't wait for the chime, that is why you are getting 0 attack on the mana beast

For this, I used zSNES 1.51 and two associated tools--mencorder for video and...drat, can't think of the sound recorder.
Anyway, if you're using zSNES, directions for how to record videos like this are on the zSNES website.

Yeah, it was. To save time I used another person's savegame, and they had used Game Genie codes to max out weapons and magic quickly.

Yes, it is possible to get all your magic to level 8:99 as well. Unlike weapon leveling, you don't have to attack enemies at a lower level than you.
If you watch carefully, you'll see that most of the magic I use in this video is the level 9 version. Including Mana Magic...

You can only get over 8:99 if you find the secret elemental Solar :)
