Out of the entire occupy movement, this kid is able to articulately and intelligently speak about the issues. They should have this person be the spokesperson for the movement. there are many ways of describing money going from one place to another.. It can be called "spending" or "saving" or most importantly in regards to the bailout "investing". I am happy to "invest" money in social programs that keep the standard of living at a certain level for people willing to work a certain amount. That makes the world I live my life in a whole lot easier because I don't have to worry so much about decent people becoming desperate and draining the system further with crime :)
To the mainstream economists, I passed the CFA level 1, and worked at a consulting firm, and this protester is right. When money is loaned by the fed to 'friends' instead of through best business practices, the expansion of the monetary supply is "nonneutral". As for the 'gold supply is too small to peg it to the dollar comment'- first off that is ridiculous because paper can be exchangeable with gold at any ratio - and secondly look at USGS, 2 KT of gold are mined in the world a year.
Actually while I think the guy have a good point, the difference is you really can spend your way out of debt when it comes to the economy.
It won't work for individuals to spend your way out of a debt due to the lack of one factor on individual level, which is the economic growth will close the gap of debt. Of course raising taxes is necessary to reduce deficit, but raising taxes when the economy is doing well instead when it is doing badly is much better for the people.
We the people find our current system inherently flawed and hereby deny the relevence or legitimacy of the government. We hereby succeed from the United Nations and wish to have no membership in any Anti American groups.

You are right on about corporate control of our government, media, etc. but I think it's rather ironic that you embrace libertarianism as the solution. The same Austrian economists that inspire you were the ones that Milton Friedman, Alan Greenspan, and Ben Bernanke worshiped. Their gospel of deregulation, privatization, and regressive taxation played a large part of getting us in the mess we're in now. I don't think the libertarian element speaks for the majority of the 99%.

Out of the entire occupy movement, this kid is able to articulately and intelligently speak about the issues. They should have this person be the spokesperson for the movement. If you have this type of person speak, you will have more people listen to the issues that the movement is trying to bring forward. @publicenemy328 Ron Paul's system is good but not perfect. Having different rules between the states is an old way. Divided you are easier to conquer and for years efforts have been made to unite people. Knowledge has grown since the first days of Ron Paul. Plus all that anti-federal government sounds even more like capitalism (money is king not people) and corporatism. Constitution and amendments is the key. No anti-federalist or profederalists. Middle ground keeps corporation away from excuses

if he's so concerned about corruption in wall street then i wouldn't be prominently displaying my Puma designed hat on camera lol and Puma isn't really a brand concerned with saving it's more about spending. Puma's marketing objective seems to be "customer oriented" meaning they set prices high to target people who seek to attain a high status perception in other people... that's pretty contradictory to what this guy "advocates"

there are many ways of describing money going from one place to another.. It can be called "spending" or "saving" or most importantly in regards to the bailout "investing". I am happy to "invest" money in social programs that keep the standard of living at a certain level for people willing to work a certain amount. That makes the world I live my life in a whole lot easier because I don't have to worry so much about decent people becoming desperate and draining the system further with crime :)

To the mainstream economists, I passed the CFA level 1, and worked at a consulting firm, and this protester is right. When money is loaned by the fed to 'friends' instead of through best business practices, the expansion of the monetary supply is "nonneutral". As for the 'gold supply is too small to peg it to the dollar comment'- first off that is ridiculous because paper can be exchangeable with gold at any ratio - and secondly look at USGS, 2 KT of gold are mined in the world a year.

Actually while I think the guy have a good point, the difference is you really can spend your way out of debt when it comes to the economy.
It won't work for individuals to spend your way out of a debt due to the lack of one factor on individual level, which is the economic growth will close the gap of debt. Of course raising taxes is necessary to reduce deficit, but raising taxes when the economy is doing well instead when it is doing badly is much better for the people.
