  • One of the greatest songs of the 80's.

  • 4 people stayed.

  • loved this song as a kid

  • @gaae2000

have you never hear of Elvis Presley?!? People are still listening to his (The King of Rock'N'Roll's) songs. And for everyone who hates him: HE DIDN'T DIE, HE JUST WENT HOME!!

  • I always wonder if Noddy Holder or Jim Lea Met Keith Richards or Mick Jagger?

  • Finally I found the song :D

I always forget the name of it and haven't been able to find it for many years :/

    Im so happy right now :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

  • Best English imports of the 80's: This song and Benny Hill.

  • Great song!

  • 2:17

    LAWL

  • Thank you for posting this song!it has a lot of personal meaning to me :)

  • Slade was one of those bands that should have been WAY bigger than they ended up being. I could see some rock band covering this song & making a huge hit again.

  • This is one the best i ever heard!

  • I can totally hear Martin Walkyier-era Skyclad covering this song. Would've been awesome to hear.

  • Does anyone know the make of coat that Dave Hill is wearing in this video?

  • Flogging molly - 7 deadly sins

  • wow, tell me a group that can start in the late 60s, be great in the 70s and have a huge hit in 1982!!!

  • @gaae2000 Deep Purple!

  • @gaae2000

Do you mean Groups tha after 15 years are still great and have success huge hit?, Aerosmith, Beatles,Rolling Stones, singers like Rod Stewart,Elton John, Michael Jackson ,Madonna

  • @gaae2000 Well, there's the kings of them all...Iron Maiden. Didn't start in the 60s, rather in 1975, but are still at the top of their game and pretty much still the best group going.

  • Great song!

  • would have been friggin awesome to have been in that mosh pit. great tune.

  • This song had the power of Heavy Metal but also it is a great dance track. That is a rare combination. A special song. Makes you want to get up and ROCK.

  • what castle did they film this video at? i can't remember. this song brings back great memories of the simple and yet complicated life of an adolescent ca. 1983+ and going roller skating at Skateland in Matamoras, PA with my high school. good times lol

  • @JenniferG1973 This was filmed at Eastnor Castle nr Ledbury, Herefordshire...

  • very cool !

  • Yes, blast and dance! Great song.

  • This is one you blast as loud as you can, sing along and dance for all you are worth, and if others can't take that you like it? Too bad about them! Their loss!

  • This is one you only listen to under the headphones and never admit to liking . Trust me , I know .

  • You say Lady Gaga, I say The Doors

You say Hannah Montana, I say The Rolling Stones

You say Owl City, I say Led Zeppelin

You say Jonas Brothers, I say The Beatles

You say Justin Bieber, I say Queen

You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC

95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy & paste it to at least five videos. Don't let rock and roll die!

  • I am in my early 40's, and remember when this song was a hit the first time (I also quite like Great Big Sea's version). But, until I just looked up the lyrics just now, I honesttagawd thought the third verse said "If you've got it trussed, don't be an octopus..."

  • @amethyst42 God that's funny as hell that made my night!

  • As a SLADE fan growing up in the 70's, this became my anthem in the 80's, unfortunately they were too ahead of their time, I always will Love SLADE!! Great rockers, fun music!!!

  • I'm surprised that Quiet Riot didn't try ripping this one off !

  • Takes me back..and makes me smile. Thanks for posting!!

  • Great song ;)))

  • @niamhorourke - yes that's right - and I have never been to Kilpeck even though I live in the next county! - I must check it out!

  • Great song - great band. @niamhorourke - video was filmed at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire - just down the road from me - there is now an annual music festival held there - the Big Chill.

  • einfach da hammer des lied

  • Most excellent

  • Celtic-flavored rock at it's finest :)

  • WHO IZ THE KEAD SINGER 4 SLADE?

  • Thrashing!!!! A favourite from 1984.

Anyone know where it was filmed?

  • @niamhorourke - the video was filmed at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire - just down the road from me. They now hold the Big Chill music festival there every year.

  • Also one of my favorite Slade songs with We Won't Give In, Cum On Feel The Noize and Wild Winds Are Coming. Cheers from PA, USA!

  • @youthgoes as ar as i no Slade did not cover Cum On Feel The Noize. The original artists was Quiet Riot.

  • @80Sall Hey man. Yeah I know...I was just referring to it as one of Slade's hits as well. :)

  • @80Sall maybe I'm reading your post wrong, but Slade put that song out in '73. The Quiet Riot version is a cover, it came out ten years later.

  • @80Sall um noooooooo

    slade did the original version

the late kevin dubrow and quiet riot covered it just after randy rhoads left

get your facts right , Q/R version is great, but Noddy Holder and Slade nail it and own that moment in time !!!!

  • one of my favorite songs from the 80's

  • one of my favorite songs from the 80's :)

  • Awesome song!

at 2:18 it seems the director was like "Now make the most goofy face you can"

  • One of my fav bands ever. Saw em when I was a wee lad another lifetime ago.... :D

  • GREAT SONG!!!!!!

  • Noddy Holder's voice could peel paint off a wall...Dave Hill's guitar riffs were what guitar playing was and SHOULD be about...awesome band. This song was tame by their standards.

  • @wardog1967 You are right about that matey!!! Dave Hill in general is more than awesome. So is the whole Band

  • takes me right back to the 70s great group fantastic voice of noddy great drums from don powel good times wish i was back there some times .....................
