have you never hear of Elvis Presley?!? People are still listening to his (The King of Rock'N'Roll's) songs. And for everyone who hates him: HE DIDN'T DIE, HE JUST WENT HOME!!

Slade was one of those bands that should have been WAY bigger than they ended up being. I could see some rock band covering this song & making a huge hit again.
Do you mean Groups tha after 15 years are still great and have success huge hit?, Aerosmith, Beatles,Rolling Stones, singers like Rod Stewart,Elton John, Michael Jackson ,Madonna
@gaae2000 Well, there's the kings of them all...Iron Maiden. Didn't start in the 60s, rather in 1975, but are still at the top of their game and pretty much still the best group going.
This song had the power of Heavy Metal but also it is a great dance track. That is a rare combination. A special song. Makes you want to get up and ROCK.
what castle did they film this video at? i can't remember. this song brings back great memories of the simple and yet complicated life of an adolescent ca. 1983+ and going roller skating at Skateland in Matamoras, PA with my high school. good times lol
This is one you blast as loud as you can, sing along and dance for all you are worth, and if others can't take that you like it? Too bad about them! Their loss!
You say Hannah Montana, I say The Rolling Stones
You say Owl City, I say Led Zeppelin
You say Jonas Brothers, I say The Beatles
You say Justin Bieber, I say Queen
You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC
95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy & paste it to at least five videos. Don't let rock and roll die!
I am in my early 40's, and remember when this song was a hit the first time (I also quite like Great Big Sea's version). But, until I just looked up the lyrics just now, I honesttagawd thought the third verse said "If you've got it trussed, don't be an octopus..."
As a SLADE fan growing up in the 70's, this became my anthem in the 80's, unfortunately they were too ahead of their time, I always will Love SLADE!! Great rockers, fun music!!!
Great song - great band. @niamhorourke - video was filmed at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire - just down the road from me - there is now an annual music festival held there - the Big Chill.

Noddy Holder's voice could peel paint off a wall...Dave Hill's guitar riffs were what guitar playing was and SHOULD be about...awesome band. This song was tame by their standards.

Also one of my favorite Slade songs with We Won't Give In, Cum On Feel The Noize and Wild Winds Are Coming. Cheers from PA, USA!
youthgoes 1 year ago
@youthgoes as ar as i no Slade did not cover Cum On Feel The Noize. The original artists was Quiet Riot.
80Sall 1 year ago
@80Sall Hey man. Yeah I know...I was just referring to it as one of Slade's hits as well. :)
youthgoes 1 year ago
@80Sall maybe I'm reading your post wrong, but Slade put that song out in '73. The Quiet Riot version is a cover, it came out ten years later.
os101king 1 year ago
@80Sall um noooooooo
slade did the original version
the late kevin dubrow and quiet riot covered it just after randy rhoads left
get your facts right , Q/R version is great, but Noddy Holder and Slade nail it and own that moment in time !!!!
