  • sssshhhhh....

    yall hear that?

Hank Waylon an Johnny has finally stopped spinnin in their graves YEEE-HAAW shooter ur makin them very proud

  • That struggle and yelawolf on the corner that he gives daps too

  • If you'r really country you don't have to tell people you're country in a song. They can figure it out on their own. That's why Jason Aldean is a little B**ch.

  • Shooter is talking about Jason Aldean. And all the poser mainstream country crap for city folk who want to play at being country.

  • is this song about Waylons grandson Struggle that covers Ain't this Outlaw shit gotten outta hand? with a baseball cap sing another man's song to a big drumb loop? Sure sounds like it

  • @jaredgriffin23 i don't think hes talking about the grandson..i think that he's talking about mainstream "country" singers and he's telling people that that isnt what country music is..country is real ghetto hahaha and its nice to see the rap & country genres merging together these days..

  • @jaredgriffin23 Shooter jennings is Waylons son...not his Grandson...LOL

  • @karenmoorewaylon I know Shooter is Waylon's Son, I was wondering if he wrote this song in response to Waylon's grandson (Not sure how or who thru) Struggle...There is a video on here, Struggle - Outlaw Shit and he says he's Waylon's grandson, it sounds to me like that's who Shooter is talking about?

  • @jaredgriffin23 Struggles in the video standing next to jellyroll on the side of the road...

  • @karenmoorewaylon Struggle is Waylons grandson!

  • he looks just like his daddy. im glad he is standing up for the old country. today country dont realize what dues the old timers paid

  • The sound is more rock now but its been progressing that way for a while

now shooter has Chance to get number one with deed of the dollar so go to cmt .com and vote for deed of the dollar to get it to number one

  • some of the worst camera work I've seen...and yes, I get it's trying to "look cool and handheld"

  • Hell yeah!!! now this is real music

  • Only a true country music fan can understand or appreciate this song.

  • so true....be original and don't use other peoples material....tool!!!!

  • I'll do whatever the fuck I want!!! :)

  • Lol its kool!!

  • @crazyboykgm, cause he says, stayed true to the Sound and freed the slaves!!!!

  • @Fastfeetsam oh ok thanks my speaker suck lol

  • there is one part of the song that is not true. he said stay'd true to the south and freed the slaves but the south was pro slavery

  • @crazyboykgm what i believe he was saying is(and its my opinion so if you feel the need to attack<go for it) Waylon(and many others) came along sounding diiferent then what they were used to in Nashville. and nashville was saying no no no. Not signing them to big contracts, hence keeping them down like slaves. So when he finally broke out and sold a million records they were no longer slaves to what nashville wanted but had their own sound...outlaw!

  • @crazyboykgm It's talking about being a slave to the generic Nashville sound that they insisted on pushing, not the slave trade you tool

  • @crazyboykgm He is saying his father stayed true to southern country music and freed the "slaves" of county music that did whatever their record label told them to do.

  • This song definitely made me respect the genre limitlessly more.

  • Sorry kid, that's just the way it is!!

  • Leave the arguements at home boys. This F#$KIN SMOKES!

  • Without taking drugs I meant!!

  • Well any person with common sense can understand good music without drugs, I listen to a lot of music with taking any drugs!!! And my point was that he doesn't make good simple country music anymore, if you go to his show he's always saying fuck Nashville fuck this fuck that, what he has done for country music is as much as Kenny chesney has!!!! And like I said, he had to pay child support so he signed with Curb, not cause he loved country music, he's not good at it and will never be more!!!

  • Actually after love sick album, hank 3 did his own stuff after that!!! And yeah I have listened to his new one, friend of mine gave me a burned CD before it came out and I'm not impressed with it!! Can you explain to me how it was good?

  • @Fastfeetsam i guess if you dont take psychadelic drugs you prolly wouldnt understand it....its back to his old really tripped out artsy style instead of just bouncy boring visuals like the albums after StH. especially the creepy cajun style disc., you mention how good straight to hell was....the first disc was mediocre, it was the 2nd disc that made that album good, the extemely psychadelic, heavy visual stuff. much like shooter with heirophant's style. 60's outlaw country was acid country.

  • Well that's the thing, there isn't any Fiddle or Steel Guitar singing with the song like hillbilly music should!! You hear a drop of it every once in a while but that doesn't mean anything. And plus now they sing about dumb stuff!!!!

  • everyone thats being played on so called"country" radio stations should listen to this. Im tired of all the crap on the radio, just cause you throw a banjo or a steel guitar in a song, doesnt make you country.

  • After Straight to hell, Hank 3's music went to a pile of dog shit!!! And now he sounds like there shit down his throat!! He talks about saving country music, but then he's created his own genre instead of making simple music without screaming and cussing. He started trying to play country music cause he had to pay child support, not cause he loves country music!!

  • @Fastfeetsam have u even listened to his new double disc? curb records made him do shit that way on the 2 albums after straight to hell. ghost to a ghost/guttertown is a fuckin awesome album, tom waits is badass on it too

  • @Fastfeetsam God forbid anyone should do something different. Get a grip you tool

  • @3910mark. Hank 3 didnt do shit...even hank 3rds dad (hank jr) likes shooter better

  • @mtndew you don't know shit about music...obviously

  • How did hank 3 put him in place?

  • im glad hank3 put this little bitch in his place

  • Well everybody, I've always asked Eric Church and pop music fans how they are country music, a simple question, I could never get a answer.

  • fuck jason aldeans "it aint easy"... THIEF!!

  • SHOOTER FUCKING JENNINGS!!!!

  • That's right shooter and to all the haters somebody had to say it that's why I don't listen to Jason aldean he's a fake I can't stand his music

  • @mountndew88, what's country music?

  • Telling the truth takes balls. Shooter has more than most of those wannabes with cowboy hats, for sure.

  • I detest most country music. Jennings is alright.

  • @peelingtacoma hahaha what the hell word did u use son. round here we say "hate" haha

  • Hes just pissed because he cant get to the top of Country music...even with the last name Jennings.

  • @Mountndew88 or is it because country as turned into shit...just like hes describing in the song?

  • This is terrible. He's the Dale Jr of Country music. Semi decent and only able to make music because of his dad. What makes this guy to say whats real Country and isn't? He sucks!

  • @Mountndew88 First of all, I had to make an account just to tell you this. Second, if you would listen from 2:38 to 2:54 it tells you what I think you're missing out on. At 2:54 he says, "Don't you think this outlaw bit's gotten way out of hand". His father sang a song titled "Don't You Think This Outlaw Bit's Done Got Out Of Hand". I believe that's what gave him the right to decide what real country is and is not.

  • Man he looks like his old man. I've been a fan of Waylon for years, didn't even realise his son was singing. Really glad i found another generation og Jennings to listen to now his Dad's passed, R.I.P Waylon

  • @cejerome, the reason he shot the video on that road is because that Music Row, where the Pop country labels are!!! So yeah it means a lot if people understand the video!!

  • this video's kinda boring but I woulda pissed myself if I was driving down the road and shooter jennings is walking in the bike lane. I guess the simplicity speaks to his point in the song. I don't think I'll ever see teenagers ropeswinging or him sitting in a barn in a video.

  • heard this 2day on WIXE 1190am had 2 look it up the guy playin this song said the excs at the station didnt like it i can see y hahahaha

keep it up shooter theres still a few outlaws left YEE-HAW

  • Real talk, Shooter! Waylon would be proud!

  • Shooter stays clowning Nashville, LMAO!!!!

  • @MyJunior1975 Somebody has to!

  • @LRM23936 You're right that somebody has to...but only a few will. To be fair to Shoote though, he's been critical of Nashville ever since his first album (Look up the songs "Put The O Back in Country" and "Solid Country Gold"). He's been consistent in his criticisms of Music Row putting out bullshit and selling an image. I just hated that he got more recognition for this song than he did for is last album "Black Ribbons".

  • @MyJunior1975 They had no idea what to make of "Black Ribbons". Me I like how Shooter wants to grow as an artist. And you are right on about his consistent criticism of the Nashville establishment .That's one of my reasons for being a fan of the mans music

  • @LRM23936 Another reason to be a fan of his? He's a damn good songwriter!

  • @MyJunior1975 You're preaching to the choir my friend!

  • Shooter's blood is PURE outlaw. He is a pioneer in the NEW REAL outlaw sound.

  • Well regardless if Eric Church is from the country or whatever, I've heard his music, sounds like every other pop stars of today!!! You might be able to relate to him, he's still the Pop country of today that Shooter is Talking about!!!!!

  • @thacountryboy1 I didn't write the song don't b mad at me. I like eric church ..... Well his first cd is good . His other 2 suck..... But your'e right I don't know eric church

  • And eric church...

  • @RenegadeNXW you dont know eric church he is a true southern boy im from his home town and i know carolina men they are all true country boys "country aint about where your at its about being true to whats inside of you" and ill tell you what i can relate to all of his songs he tells how it is

  • @thacountryboy1 dude that quote is pretty deep

  • 25 people love Jason Aldean.

  • Clearly about Jason Aldean... I wish he would have said his name some were in the song... Good stuff

  • I know he.didn't "steal" it. I'm pretty sure that's illegal in all 50 states... Or 58 if u ask obama. But u get my point

  • OK can somebody answer me this, Country Music is more writing song or having a great voice, or just being a ol pretty boy or being from the Country or whatever, but how is Eric Church Hillbilly Music?

  • Well record labels control the scene, like he said, they been taught to walk the walk!!! I haven't heard any pure hillbilly music on the radio since I don't know when. Last time I heard Country music, the fiddle and steel guitar also sing with it!! I don't hear that anywhere!!!

  • most of the new country singers today have never sest foot in the country.

  • also not knockin blake, but it's a lil but funny that a poster of Blake Shelton is in this song, I wonder if that was on purpose.

  • GET EM SHOOTER!!

  • this is aimed at posers like all these fly by nite american idol types and eric church is not one of those posers hes a singer songwriter and a damn good artist just like shooter

  • Preach it Brother!!!! The true word!!

  • Sadly Shooter Bro your right man, Blake Shelton was at the 101st airborn to support the troops ok! well the guy dident sing any of his songs only songs from everyone else i was like wtf man he messd it up was sad man many was there to hear a rich pretty boy sing an insted we get a damn ol drunk bastid who dident come through an then acted like a di*k an wouldent even sign my son's hat what a doosh bag :(

  • @everyonewhosaidit: I'm pretty sure shooter wouldn't really concern himself with wether or not Jason Aldean steals BGs songs. And you need your head examined if you think this song is about that.

  • I think he is talking about jason aldean stealing dirt road anthem from colt ford....

  • @RenegadeNXW He Didn't steal it from him, Colt offered it to him and it's the same exact song, except Colt's version sounds more R&B. Still, Rap doesn't belong in country. Shooter is just going for the message that you go ahead and do your own thing, but don't call yourself country or outlaw if your not. No offense to any artist out there that's just my guess. But I agree, do what you want sing what you want, but don't call yourself country if your not

  • @Codydavismusic How could colt offer it 2 him when Brantley Gilbert wrote and sang and put a video out first on the song. Like alot of contry but if u dont write it dont claim it. Look at jamie johnson and the songs he wrote for other artists including george strait. Now he sings his own stuff and hes where real country should be

  • @Codydavismusic It's hard to say rap doesnt belong in country. I tend to agree with that point, but the thing about music is it's ever evolving. Look at the 90's and 2000's. Some of the best songs that came out were a combo of rock and country, being dubbed Rock a' billy. I like Colt Ford, mostly because he stays true that he is a rapping hillbilly. He's not trying to be something he isnt. That is the TRUE essence of outlaw.

  • bitter and brilliant!

  • ::::::::::::::::

    ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • This songs bout jason aldean stealin brantley gilberts songs

  • I really like this song! I might be wrong but I don't think Shooter was directing this song towards Rascal Flatts or any other country acts that lean pop. I don’t think Rascal Flatts has ever tried to pass themselves off as Outlaw. I think Shooter is talking about “Posers” who drop Johnny Cash’s name in song and probably only know “Ring of Fire.” In whatever you do, be authentic to who you are.

  • @Griffinmusic It's aimed more at Eric Church and Jason Aldean. While Shooter doesn't like the pop-country music this one is about the wanna be outlaws

  • @ANTROBUSN u couldnt hit country w a baseball bat... This is country at its finest !

  • Im not a country music fan and i can ride to this!

  • Omg.. Love this! Fuck yea

  • Country IS about staying true to you, what you believe in, what you were taught...not what society or record producers think will sell or what you should be. Shooter is one of the best in my book! keep tellin like it is!

  • Comment removed

  • and one more thing how the fuck do they consider rascal flat country they should be called rascal faggs

  • can`t buy true !!!

  • directed by blake judd?

    like nachtmystium blake judd? :D

    that's fuckin' awesome :D

  • hes talking about kenny chesney

  • If you guys like true hillbilly music, you guys should check out Joey Allcorn!!!!

  • Kiss my redneck ass pop country, Shooter ain't Waylon but he is one of the best and much like Jamey Johnson or Hank III he doesn't get the respect he deserves. These new pop country guy's can take their pretend country and stick it. My opinion though so nobody feel insulted.

  • @CharlieEst1981 Hell yes i couldnt agree more! Jamey and Hank III play some real shit. Hank III may not always be country either but he's himself and has that old country style in MANY of his songs like his gramps. POP COUNTRY SUCKS!

  • @CharlieEst1981 as a man raised on JC, u said it best.

  • shooter jennings is pissed.

  • the video was shot on a budget and thats the point country music use to be down to earth simple great music not the over the top polished pop theyre trying to shove down our throats today all power to shooter and the real country or southern rock guys trying to make a living in a pop world keep playing and ill keep listening and hopefully more people will realize how good your music is since radio and tv wont play you god bless you shooter

  • Not bad at all, video obviously shot on a budget!

  • @qpwillie, yep exactly!! If you put something on TV or radio and call it whatever you want, 90% of people will believe it and buy it!!! The 10% have more of a common sense and can tell what it is!!!

  • Well I guess you don't really get the Video!!!! That's Music Row!!!!! That's where all the pop country labels are that's why he made the video over there!! Know what your talking about before you open your mouth!!!

  • ok jason aldean sucks, justin moore sucks....but they are smart enough not to make a video walking down the street giving high fives to shit heads. This is a great song with an ass clown video. Everytime i watch this video it pisses me off. get an fing clue, its not a sin to try to market yourself

  • fuck keith urban

  • fuck jason aldean

  • Country music is not based on a location. It's a feeling, a non-Pretentious expression of deep human emotions and much more. Adding a steel guitar to a pop recording does not make it country.

The Nashville music industry been taken over by a bunch of business people who neither know OR CARE about the music. There is still a lot of good country music out there but you won't be hearing it on the market.

You keep telling their phony asses, Shooter. They need to hear the truth about it.

  • Oooohhhhhhh yea - Hank Williams jr.

  • GodDamnit Shooter! hope you read this, I hate country music, but Ill listen to this, just cause its good. Right on

  • Speak the truth Shooter!!!!!! I am sick of "Cuntry" music, all these fake, pretty, gel haired freaks!

  • Good stuff, keep the flame alive Shooter, looking forward to your new record.

  • you know when someones pretending to be country when they boots are neon :)lol

  • i couldnt agree more wth this song cause everyboby thinks their counrty bt they aint nothing bt a big city person and then the counrty music singers all sold out bt a few so rock on shooter

  • Some of these comments are pretty astounding. Shooters right, there's no question there but to say artists like Brantley Gilbert and Justin moore aren't country is pretty ridiculous. BG was born and raised in Georgia and Justin Moore in Arkansas. Just because the radio edits of their songs arent country doesn't mean they way they were originally written aren't. Their sound has to be changed in order to get airtime. It's how they survive in the industry.

  • @JFKFatkid93 And that's the problem nowadays. Being from the south doesn't automatically equal being country. People in Montana are country too. People in the plains of Canada are also country. Just because someone is from Atlanta or New Orleans or whatever doesn't make them country, Southern, yes. Country, no.

  • @metalupyourthrash i agree, to me someone from atlanta or new orleans ain't country cuz they live in a big city. i read people's comments every now and then talkin bout how it doesn't matter where u live its how u live, thats kinda true but u can't be from the city and say you're "country". also, the people in the north are just as country. not chicago and shit but nebraska, wyoming, and the dakotas are the complete middle of nowhere and are home to some of the greatest country people

  • meh, that pretty much sucked

  • Fuck yes.......

  • love how he's got Jelly Roll and Struggle in the video

  • I'm not even a country music fan; Grew up listening to it at my high schools baseball complex through my practices. I listen to a lot of rap, but this song is just amazing. I listen to a lot of Struggle, which is Waylon's grandsons rap music and they're whole family is talented and speaks truth!

  • Comment removed

  • Waylon, and Johnny deserve more respect then some idiot that dont know country or how hard it is to be country to disrespect them like this. i love this song it is so damn true.

  • This is the real country music that industry is afraid to play on "country" radio. Thank you Shooter 4 keeping the flame alive. God bless Waylon!

  • My ear does not lie. Shooter is bringin' you "three chords and the truth." This is like a beacon of light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

  • Fuck. Yes.

  • God bless Shooter Jennings for telling the truth.

  • No experiments Shooter....that´s the way my friend!!!!!!!!! you are great in this.

  • I bet this is about the Moonshine Bandits- For the Outlaws go check it out they are droping names like Johnny Cash and Hank Williams. He is just JEALOUS

  • shooter keep doin what your doin man, without you... I wouldn't make it through the day. I appreciate and love the music you keep putting out. This song has been on replay for 3 days in my house. Can't get enough!!!!

  • my new favorite song!!!!! cant wait til it comes out on cd

  • Could someone tell me what shirt he's wearing? It's awesome.

  • Shooter is the man! Who ever said Shooter was jealous is an idiot he isnt jealous of anything! Listen to the damn song they should outlaw u! You cant buy cool!!!!!

  • hell ya keepin outlaw country alive

  • @ashesmommy18 I just checked out Brantley Gilbert, sounds like every other pop rock star in the cmt scene, and can you explain to me how Jason aldean is Country Music?

  • @08dust your a dumb fuck. Brantley Gilbert WROTE Dirt Road Anthem. And Shooter will go nowhere with this song. Jason Aldean is BIG in the country music world. Jealousy wont get Shooter nowhere.

  • @ashesmommy18 Shooter isnt jealous off anyone!

  • @ashesmommy18 dude, your name droppin a bunch of Homos. Sure, they are selling records, and making boatloads of money. But Country music is the one genre where that shit dont fly...Its fine for Rap, Metal, Rock or Pop, Country is ALL about the soul. Its people like Shooter, Hank 3, David Allen Coe, and all the real outlaws that make the music that is true to country spirit. Garth Brookes, Brad paisly and every other faggot on music row can go fuck themselves...

  • @HellBilly197666 lmfao so true man fucking faggot ass brad paisly trying to cry before songs ,, thats some funny shit sounds like ashesmommy18 needs to listen to DAC and maybe see some of the interviews ,,, them outlaws stay original to themselves not to the record label just like he saying on this song ,,,ha

  • @ashesmommy18 you just a dumb fuck yankee who just dont get it. why dont you go suck gilberts dick you know you want to. you main stream pop country lovin faggot

  • OK country this and country that!! what is country music?

  • Great song man! Great to see you putting great videos and tunes together.

  • RIGHT ON SHOOTER! hit it right on the money!

  • he looks like rocko from boondock saints

  • this is shit

  • Hey, Shooter! I really like your new song. wishing you a Happy Holiday Season! Hope to see you out soon, rock-on.

  • brantley gilbert also recorded a version of that dirt road anthem bullshit. he is as bad as them all!!

  • @08dust brantley wrote it- he has the right to sing his own stuff.

  • @Rawk17 Doesnt mean it isnt a disgrace to country music...

  • @08dust at that point its just a matter of opinion and personal taste. brantley is a good down to earth person- he writes from his own person experiences and his music means alot to me- it obviously doesnt to you- but thats ok, this is america, we dont have to hold the same views

  • @Rawk17 Yeah i guess your right man...

  • @Rawk17 Colt Ford also wrote with him now he is one of the greats

  • brantley gilbert is a fake ass wannabe

  • NOBODY is more qualified to talk country than Shooter Jennings. Amen, brother!

  • the song is great and your dad was great also

  • He is so good looking!! And I think it's awesome how he referenced his dad in it.

  • 20 people dont know shit about the original outlaws and Cash coming up in the 50's and 60's. Todays "outlaw" wanna be's are just a mold of Nashville. Love listenin to the originals, and todays real outlaws...Hank 3 and Shooter...

  • *Cough* JASON ALDEAN *COUGH*

  • @94MikeMiller I like how everyone is saying jason aldean. He is a great country singer. Nobody has said anything about Justin Moore, with his album titled Outlaws like Me. He is still a good country singer. its been almost 30 years since he stopped making music, times have changed.Country music is differet than it used to be, even look back 10 years ago, its constantly changing.

  • @danraich I think Justin Moore falls in that category as well, but at least he wrote some songs on "Outlaws Like Me." Jason Aldean didn't write a single song on "My Kinda Party" and I think that is ridiculous. In the end, Shooter and the other real outlaws are better any day.

  • @94MikeMiller doesnt matter Jason Aldean is the most popular country singer of today . u cant argue with succes. if he pays for the right to use the matter then it legal
