  • Steve, cutting through all the comments, you mention you're playing your lead in the key of Gm. It sounds good. But I would have thought you would play this in Bb major. You don't have any minor chords in this progression, and Bb is the root. What am I missing?

    Thanks!

    Alan

  • Thank you for spreading your knowledge.

  • sorry Bb Major

  • i know the 2 scales contain the exact same notes, but isn't it an Eb major pentatonic?

  • How hard? Well heheh they are barre chords.. Guess this is a great song to practice my barre chords!... But the G minor pentatonic scales? Know those so will be fun noodling around in G minor.. ,very nice! Thanks for the lesson on this beautiful song. Can't wait to try it!

  • Very cool. I've been playing for a few years and really look forward to pulling my Gm pentatonic back out and trying to figure out something on my own (using your lesson). Thank you.

  • I started to learn guitar a month ago and I hope to play that song like you do.

  • If you can't learn this purely by ear you shouldn't really bother!!!

  • please stick to rythem, your lead is much to be disired

  • Please learn how to spell rhythm before you criticize

  • hahahaha that is great! really enjoyed this as a beginner and it helped greatly, thanks steve

  • @stevertr LOL best comeback ever

  • @stevertr Haha...pwned. Great song.

  • @stevertr also desired.

  • @opiansage who are you to tell this guy what to play? What a douche. why don't you respond with a video of your "skills".

  • @opiansage give him a break it an acoustic.

  • @opiansage I think your gratitude leaves a little to be desired, too! ;) Steve, you rock and I love your generosity. Thanks for explaining the leads, it actually explains a lot for me.

  • thanks so much for posting. You made this so easy to learn! you rock.

  • Thanks for the riff Bra Rock On!

  • very nice!

  • Great Job!! Sounds great!!

  • because without doing so, Exile is telling YouTube that they are all copyright violations, and YouTube is removing them.

  • Sadly we will be seeing lots more with the lawyers being placed in high places by our new prez. I'm wondering what exactly YT and the others will look like in a few years. All advertisements I guess. Thanks for the great lesson!

  • whats up with every freaking video of Brown Eyed Girl thanking Exile Records??

Ive seen countless of guitar lessons on youtube, I never saw Justin Sandercoe (biggest guitar lesson guy on youtube) thanking a record company

  • thank you for your sight and insight. Check out this little kid from N.C. samhedja. Keep it up. You teach well.

  • This IS good!

  • you're savage

  • Man, this is really good! Keep up the good work brother!

  • could you get some more reverb on your guitar?

  • Clever...echo is a bit much:) Great song and nice of this cat to teach beginners how to strum it...

  • Madame George is dynamite

  • wondering if you might teach VM's version of Crazy Love as he performed it with Bob Dylan? I've always wanted to learn how to play it. The cords sound pretty similar to this one.

  • nice! thanx man

  • This guy is an awesome teacher. Need more instructors like him!

  • Can you do Madame George?

  • Great time expended on guitar teaching. Thanks!
