Man if theres one 4 cylinder engine that ran REALLY GOOD and made EXCELLENT horse power Turbo or non turbo it was the Volvo B engines, man they all made great power and Volvo got thier automatic trannys RIGHT, they dont rape power, shift hard and soft, excellent ratios and the overdrive module was excellent! The turbo's wen't and pulled like a frieght train from the line to top end! My Audi 5k wouldn't keep up with one till it was rolling at highway speed and thats iffy. Nice car mate. Cheers IC

I Love ALL Volvos!

That's one MOTHER of an engine! I remember them well.

Always had and still have petrol variants (check out my vids).

The diesel was obviously a fabulous lump but it was strangely pointess? No guts, noisy and no more fuel efficient than the petrol lumps.

Had this engine in a VW LT35 van. Superb.

@tubedougz I will reckon him middle november. my car is momentarily without permission. hes stranded in the EU-TAX Maniac. 685€ No E2 Catalysator available...got no money for that at this time.

aber das Drehmoment macht ab 2500u/min echt Spaß und ab 2000 zieht er für seine 18 Jahre auch ganz gut ;-)

3500 bei 130,140kmh is aber für einen 6zylinder schon viel hätte er einen längeres getriebe wäre so einer intressant gewesen!

Ganz meine Meinung, deswegen hab ich ja noch nie weniger als 6,5l gebraucht. Mit meinem Passat TD war des kein Ding.

thats BF230..? i got 92 940GL and block is completly diffrent unless US 940gls have diffrent blocks ;) but its looks good

thats a diesel! it came from VW. the b230f is a gasoline engine..

Just volvo engine is stonger.

- Volvo D24 TIC : 90KW,4650 RPM,250 Nm torque. /with intercooler/.

-VolvoD 24 T : 80KW, 220 Nm torque? /without intercooler/
