  • dont listen to the criticism, jazz tends to have alot of uptight elitist snobs... nice playing and your guitar sounds perfectly fine.

  • Very nice. Thanks for posting.

  • Good job.

  • Nice job x

  • he would own a prs

  • i feel thats rock = =

  • the guitar sounds like shit, or is it the recording? melodic content is very good....

  • WHy dont you buy him a better one then?

  • That looks like an extremely low end Yamaha... if he'd spent just a little more and gotten a FG730S, he'd have a guitar that sounds better than many guitars costing three times as much. IMHO, low end Martins and Taylors can't touch a FG730S.

Then again, I'm biased. I have a Yamaha LL16 (and would have an LL36 if my wife would let me buy one.)

  • @wethepeople469 - Clean your ears

  • to sullydero, I have a Yamaha guitar and have been playing for 17 years. Its like the workman blaming his tools when the job is a bad un! Not everyone can shell out for something expensive.Seasick steve is good, his guitar is crap to you or I. Never laugh at a mans guitar. tut tut. Nice song tho erahonk

  • to sullydero:

You abviously doesn't have a clue about guitars.

Actually like stevesellers said are some of the YAMAHA-acoustics of very good sound and quality. It's pretty much about taste, but don't just let those stupid words get out of your mouth when It's you who abviously doesn't know anything about it.

  • there not crap

    there cheap

not everyone can afford nice guitars

but that guitar is pretty good for its price i believe

  • @tokinikolas agreed. i still use my old harmony acoustic. i bought it for $50 and it was made 20 years before i was born. but i love it to death.

  • They may not be the best, but it doesnt matter what guitar it is, as long as you can play. Good job man.

  • Work on your chord voicings itll really improve your voiceleading and ability to manipulate the melody and chords

  • mmm...not bad, but mmmm..at the same time not catchy at all..

  • DESPITE the previous criticism, I think your arr. sounds great because its' instinctive, not making

airs....simple, direct, to the point. So, you could

make it fancier. Who cares? Why should everything

be L.A. slick? Only a guitar freak would care...

  • would sound better with nylon that tune.

  • a mi me parecio muy bueno!!, exitos

  • Nice playing, but when you play in this style, chords play a heavy roll. Chordal melodies need to be smooth with the melody sitting on top.

  • not a bad job. You sound like you just got into jazz cos many voicings u used were standard shapes and didn't flow with the melody at times. Keep it up you'll have the flow when u get used to using the voicings. Oh btw tune your guitar!

  • That's some accomplished playing - nicely done! I agree that you need to use a metronome a little in practice - phrasing a thing the way you hear it is one thing, but if your timing goes out fundamentally then the piece loses form.

I really like your arrangement - the only thing is that occasionally the melody got a little lost in all the action. Autumn Leaves is rich with harmony but you still need the melody.

    Keep up the good work.

  • I like your cat! :)

Just kiddin', your playing is smooth.Keep on working on it, you are a talented guy!Nice interpretation of one of my favourite songs.I'm from Hungary and fact is that a Hungarian guy named Kozma József aka Joseph Kosma wrote this song, one of the most popular standards ever - this makes me proud!Best wishes!

  • Great but you don't look spanish. Enjoyed it very much

  • Nicely done. I wish I could jam with you...

  • Real good guy-take the critics for what they are-great job man !!!

  • amazing!

  • You need to practice with the metronome.

  • He's playing rubato.

  • Nicely done man.

  • Great job!

  • why make it so hard and move your hands so much. try to find voicings that are closer to each other. and your impro is more latin than jazz. but very nice work:)

  • Very well done.

  • Beautiful man. Keep it up!
