Poor kid! I can tell she was shocked. Locks of Love is a very questionable organization. They don't 'give' hairpieces; they sell them. And they go to folks with alopecia, NOT to cancer kids!
@athompson7 Agreed. If you want to donate your hair that's great, but Locks of Love really isn't the best scheme to give it to. I'd look up Wigs for Kids or Pantene Beautiful Lengths if I was cutting mine.
@CharlieDwarf sure, there is nothing to bully these people for, i'm actually sick of people who do so, she is lucky to be in a grop of good people, but not all people are like that, i have seen many kids, half the age and height i am, which are total @$%%^&. it still was nice what this girl did^^, i think it's great she wanted to support the people, the intention, the willingnes to do something, i don't care she didn't go all the way.
good luck to your friend, my granny has won her fight.
@CharlieDwarf Normally people do shave their heads in solidarity with the kids who are fighting cancer. But lots of people also cut their hair and donate the hair to Locks of Love, which is what my daughter did in this video. She and her best friend wanted to raise money for St. Baldrick's and donate their hair for the cause. I got my work involved 4 years ago and we always volunteer. Last year the girls came up with the idea to help too. They raised over $1400. I am very proud!
That was so thoughtful
