Thanks for putting this up! I noticed your blog mentioned a desire for more footage. You're welcome to use anything from my youtube account or any of the videos featuring me on TMatesFTM. If you want I can do some filming here in Sweden and talk about health care for trans people here.
I think this is a GREAT idea. I'll go through you clips this weekend and then we can discuss perhaps you filming a small section about the healthcare in Sweden. Isn't it generalized healthcare? forgive my ignorance on that. My good friend moved to Gothenburg recently but he doesn't discuss healthcare with me!
yah insurance wont cover hysto's after you get your documents changed. having ovaries are just apart of this problem we dudes have along with ignorant doctors that freak out ..
MAF1214-- I feel Powerless in the sense that I am not a doctor and need a doctor to prescribe medication for me. I'm not going to obtain it illegally. Unfortuantely, my body does not produce testosterone on it's own. Therefore that renders me powerless to the medical profession. If the insurance companies are run by people without education how do you expect them to learn if it starts on a fundamental level of non education in the medical field?
Insurance companies don't care about us. Sorry but I can't give them any leeway about not knowing about us when they purposely & consciously decide to refuse our medically NEEDED surgeries that are routine for gender normative people (ie gynocomastia) and call the necessary surgeries "elective".
