Metric System is better logical and more practical than the Imperial System.

I understand all metric systems, but struggle with speeds and KM distance. I blame this on the exposure to the MPH and miles road signs in this country. Everything else volume/weight etc i have a pretty good concept of. Its time we just finished the job, once and for all. rather than half done.

The EU sucks, we pay the most in or nearly the most and get nothing out of it. I think Heath was a crook for getting us in it in the first place. The EU can't even close their accounts for around the 16th year running, it makes our parliment look like a bunch of saints. Police state by the back door, run by unelected crooks, this is not what the UK signed up for !

Sad to see these Luddites standing in the way of modernization. Britisher pals, two measurement systems in concurrent use is the worst of all worlds. But because you have such a recalcitrant population, your best move would be to return to 100% Imperial. Face it, the future is Asia, and the US together with the UK are has-beens.
