Since the comments are loaded with views on it and a few commented "who knows what the AF says," the Air Force response is commonly "yes sir/ma'am" with very few exceptions. I suspect our branch has the least slang but the most acronyms! Ever sift through an AFI? Some of the most convoluted BS you'll ever lay eyes on! Anyways, I've heard of some MTI's teaching "oorah/hooyah" and I suspect some squadrons practice it (SF?), but it's hardly pervasive. PS: Always loved Marine drill.

Anybody always having an opinion of military when they haven't been in anything of that nature in their whole life doesnt carry any worthwhile opinions. personally im in the army reserves and have respect for anybody in the military no matter what branch it is.
