F-22; All show, no go. If we had an air war right now, I would rather bet our security on a squadron of battle-tested F-15s than an expensive show-horse that sleeps in air conditioned hangars. Nice demo, though.

@ThaPyngwyn You can't shoot down an aircraft you can't find on radar this isn't ww2. The f-22 is completely stealth. Anyone flying in a f-15 or any plane for that matter would be dead before they see an the jet. If you could put 40 rockets on an f 22 (which you can't) then you could shoot down 40 f 15's.

@silentdreemz85 Heard of the Silent Eagle? Sure, it's not as stealthy as the F-22, but it's more stealthy than any non-stealth aircraft. And the last time we said we could shoot down enemy planes before we even see them, we went and built F-4s without cannons, leading to some embarrassment when we ended up face-to-face with gun-armed MiGs.

The F-22 is absolutely,in no way, a waste money. The F-22 is more than a air dominance fighter. It performs package cordination, surveilance, air dominance, demonstation( both to intrest and scare), air-to- ground.

When have we ever built military aircraft or weapons in general for the current war of the day? We've always built weapons for the wars of tomorrow. The rest of the world isn't gonna stop innovation on their military hardware on account of us. Britian stopped innovating and got caught with their pants down at the start of world war 2. Learn from history.

@Verdigo76 Exactly. You think an evolution from the SMLE or Lee Enfield would've saved more British lives. The M1 Garand and other weapon innovations of the U.S. won World War 2. For example, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. No else had those weapons and look who ended the war...

I was there in R.I that Sunday the 28th, the cloud cover was the same, the ceiling was only about 1100-1500 feet. Saturday was the better day with no clouds clear blue sky. this was definitely the highlight of the day. And the flyby with the F-22 the P-51 and the F-16 all together was pretty awsome too!!!

one nice thing bout the F-22 is that it is hard to do a low show cause the F-22 has such great vertical maneuvering it can do a loop in less than 1,000 feet AGL

i can't believe all of that stuff happened on friday! i went on friday for a little while thenleft because nothing was going up. but i came back later that day and saw the blue angels practice show. that made up for it. by the way nice video and awesome vapor on the raptor.

with a tripod it is harder to get the straight up shots because of the tripod its self
