  • this proves that hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports look at his batting average. still very impressive for just going into the minors.

  • wish someone would give me the chance to show how dedicated i am to the game...for me to see the pitches that i wasnt able to see as a kid and wasnt able to get experience because i didnt start out playing ball at the competitive level at a younger age. I would go all out just like Jordan, everyday to get better. I'm not a bad player to be honest, or that i'd like to think, but man, if i had the money Jordan had and the connections to play A-AA-AAA ball under professionals...i'd give up anything

  • imma use the beginning mono log as inspiration for now on

  • I was just a kid when Jordan played baseball and I remember everyone making fun of him. Now that I'm older, I almost can't believe how well he did. I was a decent high school baseball player and I can't imagine stepping into a batters box against AA pitching after taking this much time off. It's pretty amazing that he was able to do as well as he did and it's also amazing that he was willing to even try. Not many people would take a chance like that because they'd be afraid of looking foolish

  • I'm a hockey player and I like to consider myself extremely experienced with not only controlling my emotions, but holding back tears and hiding pain. But when I watched this on ESPN, I couldn't stop the waterfall from coming out of my eyes.

Michael, you're an inspiration to all of us, and my Idol.

  • I also agree with what Don Sutton said but Jordan had every right to try and make it just like everybody else who has ever been to a try out for a pro team. I personally don't think he was ever cut out for BB either but at least he tried and that's more than i can say for most of the people that criticzed him.

  • Whats the first commercial?

  • whats the song when he hits the homerun? its freaking awesome!

  • in 497 PA, dude slugged .266

    ....266

I give some of you who posted comments a shot to do better than that.

Why didn't SI run that hack's story about Jordan becoming a good ballplayer? I wonder.

  • I went to a Barons game and saw him play when I was 10 or 11. It was unreal just to be in the general vicinity of His Airness.

  • Jordan played Baseball because that was his father's first love, going back to Jordan's days in Little League.Playing baseball was the way he worked through his father's murder.

  • Michael Jordan is completely amazing. He does things that have never been done before. If he wanted to he could have played in the pros within three years.

  • @Robperve5050 Bo Jackson all i can say did both football and baseball and succeeded in both before jordan went to baseball

  • greatest ever.

  • i hate basketball and i don't know shit about baseball, but this man is a GOD

  • Bo Jackson was da man!!! Michael sucked ass at baseball

  • @brettvett1 idk why you and others are hating...you go try to play a pro sport you'd shit the bed...

  • That' why Bo Jackson was the best athlete ever....he did it....2 sports, first time ever, all-star in both....dream on Jordon

  • @bohlken999 hey hes a professional athlete, what are you?

  • ugly swing

  • Amazing

  • Look at his work ethic amazing, most people will disagree but MIchael Jordan could have played in the Majors. He had great athleticism and a very fast improving. People do not realize how hard he worked every day and he played all 145 games. I am an athlete and it takes a toll. Sports Illustrated was wrong,

  • @ZombieRebellionTeam thank you for the summary of the video, and then pawn it off as your own assessement. its almost like we couldnt just see the fucking thing ourselves.

  • @ZombieRebellionTeam He would not have been able to play in the Majors. Sorry.

  • it proves that this man (. ohh he's not a man...) is more than just basketball

plays baseball , golf , football , can drive big bikes and he is a philanthropist too.

  • @boyeks he does alot of good works that folks dont even know about but certain people decided years ago because MJ opted not run his trap about politics on 60 mins or 20/20 or CNN that somehow he contributed nothing charitable wise when thats simply not the case but hey Oh Jordan is out of touch and is only about endorsements sounds more catchy than people actually taking the effort to see what he does in the community

  • You know a lot of people out here may disagree with me but Michael Jordan could have played in the BIG Leagues. He definetly had the athleticism and his improving rate was so fast, imagine if he had 2 more years he would of been in the BIG Leagues.

  • @mentaldeedeedee

I totally agree with you, it's all because of the 1994 strike, I am sure Michael would have made it to the Major League if he had more at bats to improve. The majority of MLB players spend two or three years in the Minor League before getting to the Major League.

  • Where is the rest , GOD I HATE WHEN PEOPLE POST TEASERS AND NOT THE FULL THING

  • this is greta!! havent seen it until u posted it here!!

    do u hve the whole?..

    tnx alot!!
