  • John Williams can make every single person proud to be human.

It is too bad that many people don't know him, or that he is being excluded from classical circles even though he composed great symphonic works.

  • @GGbreizh That is unfortunate. He was the most successful and most celebrated composer of the late 20th century. Many people don't know his name, but start humming the theme from Star Wars, Superman, Indiana Jones, and many other iconic films and people will recognize them.

  • Every country in the world has blood on it's hand's. Look at russia..china.It's always been about land grab.America does try and do what is right..she always has. How many ountries after winning a war bless their enemies? look at germany and japan. They waged war..we won and then turned around and blessed them. They are now powerful and rich countries.

  • Duke Nukem Likes it too!! This also wants me to play DUke Nukem! I wanna visit America in person!

  • The first time I heard this song, was when it was sung by John Denver. I was so lucky to have heard him in concert before his death. What a great loss America suffered that day. You can catch this version on youTube, if you search John Denver America. It has been said that he was at his peak when he performed this song, but honestly, he had over a decade of "peak". Thanks for including the words here. God Bless America.

  • 3 people hate America.

  • If anyone cares, the vocalist is the great James Ingram.

  • OSAMA BIN LADEN is DEAD!!!! It's about time to listen this song

  • @Kennychan222 Amen to that!

  • God bless America and my american friends! Greeting from Australia!

  • John Williams want to make me love America...

Without him and Spielberg, I would have have a worst vision of the USA

  • DIOS CASTIGUE A USA POR ASESINOS

  • I remember doing this with my high school chorus ... meh, eighteen years ago. Though I rather doubt we sounded even remotely as good as the Boston Pops here and ... who? Tanglewood Festival Chorus, I'd wager. I used to have this on a recording.

  • I remember John Denver sung this song, but this is a different person. Can anyone tell me who is this singing. Great voice.

  • @bigpopparamma John Denver never sang this song.

  • @ma2rowe He did during the centennial of the Statue of the Liberty.

  • @GGbreizh I stand corrected he did perform it in public at that event. I forgot all about that. As much as I love Denver I did not like his rendition of it. it just didn't sound right.

  • @PokerPlum

black people commit so much crime that the USA has become a police state. without black people the police state advocates would have had resistance making the USA a police state.

  • we are danceing to this song in ballet class!

  • I have never heard this song until I heard John Denver sing it . Just beautiful .

    Love America . ~~Ava~

  • I think the soloist here is James Ingram. The first time I heard this was in a live TV broadcast of the 4th July celebrations in 1986 with John Williams conducting and John Denver singing outstandingly. A marvellous song.

  • Ron Raines sang this at Tanglewood in2003 (or was it 2004?). He knocked it out of the park! Such power and emotion! I've never heard it better than with Raines singing! Awesome song!

  • This great song was performed by John Williams on EVENING WITH POPS several years ago. The soloist who sang the song was Howard Smith. I've looked for the video, but it doesn't seem to be available.

  • you make it seem like we assassinated them, as in everyone, and just for that we shouldn't be proud?

  • Steve, although i STRONGLY disagree with your option, i would DEFEND TO THE DEATH your right and FREEDOM to have it and voice it freely. also thank a solider when you see one, for risking his life to defend your right to speak your mind. GOD BLESS AMERICA

  • Happy birthday, America!!!

  • Happy B-day America & God bless!!!

  • This is such a stirring song. Perfect for the 4th of July...or any other time for that matter!

  • unusual lyrics penned by the husband & wife team of Alan & Marilyn Bergman

  • I'm singing this in summer choir @sms.

  • Patriotic indeed..factory sounds and all the things that made us great are being silenced as so many hold out their hands for a free ticket. I wish it were like the song says and the dream goes on. Look what has happened..and is happening. It is just about impossible nowadays to purchase a product made in America.

  • Excellent recording,

  • Yes indeed.

  • The singer is none other than James Ingram whose phenomenal voice is perfectly suited for the impact this song is meant to have...PURE HEART AND SOUL!

  • Great song, isn't it? Thanks for producing this...best wishes

    Ed Murray

  • Interesting song, I'd have liked to seen the chorus singing it. Down with anti-Americans!

  • who is sing this i like my idol's john's version better

  • James Ingram sang this with help from John Wiliams conducting the Boston Pops Orchestra and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus.

  • i like this song

but i like john denver's version better

god bless america (and the rest of the world;)

    5/5

  • How dare you! America will NEVER fail, ever!!

  • haha another incredibly intelligent comment made by an ignorant american.. good job kepp makin ur country proud.

  • I am NOT ignorant! You should know better than to call me that!!

  • I liked it.

  • i refuse to delete this post because of free speech guaranteed by the first amendment of the constitution

  • I agree with you. This is really wondeful and patriotic.
