  • I miss when fields got muddy like that.

  • Wow the the Chesapeake Classic being played in the late 70s

  • That Raymond Chester reception at 0:10 reminds me of a similar play in the 1980 AFC Championship game between Oakland and San Diego in which Raymond Chester scored on a deflected pass. Do you know what I am talking about?

  • I was a teenager and had tickets for this game. Unfortunately it poured all day and most of the night and my mother wouldn't let me go. I was so PO'd at her!

  • @raelraven2 I don't blame you. My mother allowed me to watch only the first hour of this game before sending me to bed. Tried to hear the remainder of it on a transistor radio. Woke up in the middle of the night realizing that I had slept through it. The ballgame did not put me to sleep: the fact that I was in bed did. Found out about the victory in the papers the next day.

  • Really cool that you put this on here. I remember watching this game as a kid. Of course, I watched every MNF game. Great stuff. I liked the Colts.

  • Can't beat NFL games from the 70's, love the MNF tv clips from that era, brings me back to my youth, I hope the guys that run the NFL NETWORK get on board and start airing the original tv games from that era.

  • Thank you for posting this! I can't get enough 1970s NFL football, when they still let the players play the game.
