all cannot enjoy the karnatak music. It requires some good family background and what is called as "Samskaara." It is said that the people who cannot understand literature, music an Art is a beast ( beast) without a tail --akkihebbalvenkatesh
I'm not an expert on Carnatic music, but it's great. I wish I knew more about the theory, or raga I suppose, anyone know where I can get more information on Carnatic music and how it's played?
you can go to the websites that are exclusively made for people like you. there u can get attracted to all chicks. karnatic music is not meant for people like you who don't have culture, manners and respect for others culture and tradition. think before u comment.
Sorry if I offended you brother with my comment. I apologize and yes, I should have made that comment somewhere else. The part about culture and all of that... keep that to yourself buddy, you don't know me. Peace
Classical Indian music is actually very complex, although it may seem very simple. Just because you may not like what you hear doesn't mean that it is terrible music. Yes, you have a right to share your opinion, but have some respect for Indian culture and art.
I'm studying this music right now at university. It's amazing how much more complexity you can hear as you continue to listen. Anybody who thinks a music different from their own is simple is probably just not listening with developed enough ears. It takes patience and dedication.
@insignialead Thank you insignialead! I have loved Classical Indian music even before i knew what it was (from very early childhood). One of my earliest memories was of being 3 years old and hearing Indian music from another room from the TV. It stopped me in my tracks!! I was too young to ask my parents what was playing but i remember searching for that beautiful "sound" until i found it (my early 20's). I've been listening to it ever since! I didn't stop there, i studied the history as well!
When I saw your comments, I clicked on your nickname to check out your favorite videos. I strongly advice people not to do this mistake. Georgian's videos are just heavenly boring.
Georgian, I wonder if the blonde bitches on your videos are able to perform carnatic that "anyone can sing".
Okay you compare pig to human and fragrance of sandalwood to carnatic song. Nice comparison. So that means for a pig sandalwood smell is not important. Personally i hate (i am not saying i don't like) carnatic songs. Almost all people dont like carnatic songs...for e.g., if you go to any carnatic music hall..it will be very very less crowded..Yea i am pig who dont like the smell of sandal wood..and i dont need the smell.
@sunkumarable if you go to a public lecture on physics, it will be quite empty with very few people. If you go to a belly dance it will be thickly packed. That doesn't mean the latter is better than the former. Similarly, carnatic music is an intellectual pursuit.
@ssanagav Forget it, my friend. It will do us no good to react to such ignorant creatures. Let them exist in their own ignorance! Some are yet to evolve. We can enjoy the music, the ignorant can enjoy their own ignorance.
This is really very interesting! I am exploring Indian music, its variety so probably, like from Punjabi to this and more. Really: very interesting! (Well, we may have to say thanks to You Tube...)

This is music is a spiritual phenomenon, if you listen it with your ears open you'll transcendent to a world of silence.
PS: I'm not Indian, just a lover of true music.
