Ugh... how lucky they were to snag the best possible name for a Beatles tribute band. They even have the drop-T on the bass drum and everything. You'd think they could have gotten "Paul" a bass like the one the real Paul plays, though. And a costume change would have been appropriate. This song was a full two years after Pepper.

Hi @jrsightes, Paul used a Rickenbacker and a Hofner, as we do live...given we had just played a bunch of tracks from Sgt Peppers, that would explain the clothes & the bass...

Has anyone who has posted something actually ever see the Off Broadway Muscial Tribute to the Beatles that played from 1976 through 1979 in NYC, USA?? I had the fortune to see that show and it was absolutely amazing. They Looked like the Beatles, and sounded EXACTLY like the Beatles. It was called "BeatleMania" and it played in the Wintergardan Theater. The musical that came in after BeatleMania ended was CATS - the longest running musical in history. These are facts - perhaps useful to some.

its true they cannot replace what the beatles are. However its about getting a glimpse of what it would be when the beatles were still alive. Its a good cover band, they dont disrespect the beatles. Ah, you know your history - very good :) This one is actually a Korean model - early 90's - but a beautiful guitar nonetheless...I haven't bought any Casinos apart from this one, so can't help much there...mind you the Sunbursts are nice as well (which Lennon's was before he sanded it down to make it a "blonde")

I have an epiphone casino, same color as yours. What year is yours? Mine has a sticker on the inside that says 1968, but I'm not sure if that is correct. I've never torn it apart to find out. Also my headstock doesn't have the "E" on the plate that covers the truss rod.

It's generally the responsibility of the promoter or the venue, and sometimes us (if we're the promoter), to pay copyright royalties to a licenced collection body in each country. In Australia, it's APRA, for instance. We do things properly :)
