I wonder why it is that more college teams don't play against professional teams, why only a handful of college players get selected a year to become bench warmers for pro teams, and even fewer who actually get to play. I'll give you that female players aren't as physically capable and male players, but does that mean all males are inherently better? Only in delusions.

Yes, women's soccer absolutely rocks. Men should not be playing soccer, however. I loved watching the Little League World Series champions from Chula Vista, Calif. You just know they all come from Mexican immigrant families who were crazy about soccer. But the US-born generations don't want to play soccer anymore. They boys have discovered better sports. Almost all the Mexican friends that I played basketball and football with hate soccer, even though their parents were crazy about it.

I think soccer is a great sport, but the US will NEVER reach the level of the powerhouses being that our best athletes will most often NOT play soccer. our best play football, hoops, and baseball. i don't think that's gonna change anytime soon. it sort of sucks because futbol is a great sport, but it will always be 2nd rate in this country.
