This hairstyle is beautiful & while I think you happen to have a nack for hairstyling & you make it look easier than it is, you do give great tips, like up-combing using that thin brush/comb thing. I'm going to get one of those. The curling under for volume at the bang and crown - excellent tip. Thanks for the tutorial. Awesome.

If you look up Dannyco Wood Teasing Brush with Boar Bristles, #WTZ you should be able to find it. Or just look up teasing brush, there are similar models out there! :)

If you want a professional flat iron and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, dual voltage, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. Also has a 3 year warranty. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair.

I love it! You look so good with that look, im definitely gonna try it. Oh, and a little advice: never coil the cable of your straightener like that... thats what a hairstylist taught me at the saloon. You shouldnt coil it, just bend the cable, if that makes sense. Otherwise your straightener won't last that long.

sooo i also have short hair and when i curl it i part it into like five different layers and i find that a. it takes too long and b. the bottom layers are so short that i cant even curl them instead i end up having to flip them out .... BUT watching you only do it in two make soooo much more sense bc the short under layers get curled with the longer ones!! def i bout to do it right now!! thanks :)

Actually if you give the straightener 2 full turns, the curls look more full and with more volume :) it does work on short hair. I have my hair cut a line and extremely short so I know it works.
