Sorry to say, but you fucked up the power chord in the verse a bit. It's a G5 the first three phrases of the verse, but on the 4th phrase it IS that B5 you demonstrated.

It actually makes a lot of compositional sense, since the bass is riding that low E during the verse and you're chiming in with that G (which is a minor third in relation to Em), punctuating the phrase. The minor/major relation between Em and GMaj adds a lot of tension.
