  • You have a great organization and am proud to know you exist. How can Rescue groups in other states start a similar campaign? I am in Rescue and often advise people on their fencing, but it would be nice to help those that can't afford it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pamela Jo of Lake Tahoe Wolf Rescue, Nevada

  • I don't understand why they had to be separated. They obviously do not have any agression towards one another?

  • @keywestWTF I don't get that either...why not let them play together? The owners are such morons!

  • dogs should NEVER, NEVER EVER, be alone, without physical contact and play, the warmth of another living being.

  • Great cause!!

  • watching Jack and Jill literally DANCE out of pure joy is simply priceless!

  • Lori, thanks for explaining that the dogs regained their regular weight after being de-wormed; that's so good! (Perhaps that was also the case with King and Sheeba?) I'm glad all the fences have held up. And I hope Jack & Jill get to play together these days; they sure looked like they couldn't wait to pounce and bounce together through the beautiful new fence. I'm determined to keep watching/commenting on your YTs 'til I've seen all 140. May take forever, but it's the least I can do as thanks!

  • Why are these pups separated?

  • So do the owners go to you or do you go to the owners? Either way I'm glad to see people making a difference for these poor pups.

  • why they keep them in a separate fence?

  • The ending made me so happy i almost cried! lol, im such a softy when it comes to animals : )

  • why not keep em together?

  • my border collie busted right through that lighter square mesh wire as in this video. i can't imagine it keeping pit bulls in. i ended up having to invest in a wood privacy fence with a chain link "skirt" which attaches to the bottom and lies on the ground; this keeps her from digging under. i'm become an expert at containing critters. contact me and i'll tell you how to keep cats in your fenced yard.

  • After constructing over 300 fences and freeing nearly 400 dogs from their chains, we haven't met a dog yet that we haven't been able to contain. Furthermore, we provide free spay/neuter for all the dogs we unchain -- which means the male dogs aren't trying to get out to pursue females in heat.

  • Why on earth did they make two small pens? Dogs need to be together, they need love, they need physical contact, they need to play together. They should have made ONE BIG PEN (and sterilized them). However, this is better than before. Better is not enough for dogs. Only the best is good enough.

  • 60cappy: We put a fence at our previous home for our dogs and our dogs never got out of it! There is a way to fix a fence like that so an animal can't dig out--our fence was exactly the same fence as in the video (what you provide for chained dogs) and as I said, we never had a problem with our dogs digging out or jumping over. God Bless your Coalition to Unchain Dogs and I pray that you will be able to get a lot of dogs off chains in your state!

  • oh it keeps them in, we've used it for a # of pit bulls, it works well!

  • Jack & Jill were being fed regularly -- they were underweight because they had worms. After being de-wormed and unchained, they are both back to a healthy weight and are thriving.

  • Those dogs were also not getting enough food.

  • What a sad beginning, but the joy you can see them display after the chains are off is just wonderful!

  • oh is sad what a cute doggy great video thank you *****

  • oh i love this. the ending where they are running around looking so happy brought tears to my eyes. it made me want to hug everyone involved to say thank you for their efforts

  • God love you people for the kindness you do. I have never tied and never will tie a dog it is not right.

  • yes. Those dogs, Rascal, Momma, Fluffy, and Bear are all doing well.

  • You guys are just so amazing and I hope that people who watch this video will think about what they can do to help dogs -or animals- in their community. I just watched this 3 times, and will watch a few more times tonight. I'm so inspired by what you do for these dogs.

  • Beautiful~!

Do you have an update on the family of dogs, one of whom was discovered under the porch as Amanda was leaving? This boy had some trouble walking when he was ushered into his yard. This family has been on my mind since I viewed that video for the first time. Thank you in advance for the update...
