You should ask whether you would be allowed a spare pair of Zests. The NHS Audiology department I work in allows patients to purchase a second pair.
It might also be worth asking the audiologist who is repairing your Zests to change the hooks its a very common problem I see with my patients. It wouldn't hurt for them to give it a go!
@JC88JRF Whoops forgot to explain that the Zest Hooks seem to get blocked with condensation pretty easily hence why it might be an idea to change them.
@JC88JRF I have taken that out to try and help it but I'm not sure if it has done the job. The diameter does look smaller. Thanks for pointing that out to me.
I do sympathise, technology is great until it starts going wrong. Of course, in your case it's not like the telly packing up as I would enjoy missing Easteneders, but for you with the hearing aids it's not a nice situation.
@wmcelhatton Aye you're right. I do have a pair that I could use, but my hearing loss has changed very slightly over the years and so these hearing aids wouldn't work. I suppose I could take them in and get them tuned correctly.
@qebiko ah yeah best to do it. I guess even though the reprogramming is relatively minor, it'll make the world of difference to how good they work for you.

@JC88JRF Oh right. Do you know why this happens?

@qebiko I think its primarily because the diameter of the hook is a lot smaller than other models/manufacturers.
Have you tried forking out the little grey filter where the tubing connects with the hearing aid as that could also be the culprit?
