Este disco tiene la falla del firmware de fabrica. Hace que el disco deje de ser detectado por el ordenador y sea imposible acceder por medios convencionales. La solucion para recuperar los datos es ir a una empresa de recuperaciones. OnRetrieval, Onrescue, Ontrack, entre otras, son las que saben como recuperar la info.

i have the same hdd seagate 500gb dunno what happen but i doesnt make any clickdeath sound at all, its just that the pc doesnt recognize it.... hdd light indicator looks like its working so hard at boot and you cant even immediately go to BIOS at all after the pc boots i could not find the info on my seagate hdd 500gb 7200.11 barracuda

I have the same drive and had the same problem. I updated the firmware and the drive worked again.

Was it a 7200.11? The 7200.11 series have a firmware bug. It usually crashes randomly after some time. Mine crashed after 4 months. Buy the 7200.12.

Fuck! i bought a barracuda 500GB a few months ago, but didnt use it...its lying in my closet.. is this whats gonna happen to it?

The 7200.10 series are virtually bug-free. My brother has been using the 7200.10 for 2-3 years with no problem whatsoever.

Voila j'en ai recu un 2em pour installer Windows Se7en ^^ jai tester les 3 pre beta sur un system a part, mais pour cette beta 1 et les prochaine, je veut un HDD uniquement pour Windows 7 avec mon ordi ;) comme ca je vais pouvoir tester crysis et d'autres trucs

it's the F1, but 1Tb samsung it's faster than my seagate 500Go and a 640Gb samsung F1, is faster too, but if it's a F1 500Gb, seagate is faster than samsung ;)

hey hey enfin un BON HDD j'espere que sous vista il aura 5.9 :p contre 5.6 pour l'autre samsung tout pourri. au fait l'autre HDD je croi que jvais lui donner des coup de masse et surement une video en vue :p
