this brings a lotta memories when i missed a lot and did it...

I think what happens, is that when the level has just started, the zombie is still in a sort of inactive state, that is the game doesnt really start for 5 seconds or something like that. It may sound cofusing but thats what i believe. :P

This is no glitch. You can recreate this anywhere where you counter a zombie and there are stairs behind him with Chris. That crazy attack has insane knockback and when there are stairs they simply slide even further and faster up them.
