Carwin needs to do submissions instead of relying on fists. He had brock on the floor for most of the first round and just kept punching him lol. He should of put him into a submission when on the ground and made him tap. Done! he's won.
Look at fedors matches. That's what he does once they go on the ground and can no longer get a punch in.
U have 2 take the belt. They're not gonna give it 2 u. I'm not a big fan of either but, Brock won the fight. He took a lot of shots but, if this were in the street with no ref, Carwin would have been left unconscious w/ a broken c-spine, or even worse. They both have tremendous holes in their game. Carwin gets zero props 4 punching himself out n the 1st round. & Brock gets zero props 4 balling up like he'd never been hit.

It was a big match so he let it carry on and brock was always defending himself. A fight is stopped when the person is intellectually unable to defend himself.
The second round clearly showed brock was still able to fight. Again, I say brock got a solid beat down by shane, there's no denying it lol.

Check out Grapplers Quest, he competes in that, along with a lot of other top UFC fighters (Diego Sanchez, Big Country did a while ago, etc). Carwin needs to do submissions instead of relying on fists. He had brock on the floor for most of the first round and just kept punching him lol. He should of put him into a submission when on the ground and made him tap. Done! he's won.
Look at fedors matches. That's what he does once they go on the ground and can no longer get a punch in.

U have 2 take the belt. They're not gonna give it 2 u. I'm not a big fan of either but, Brock won the fight. He took a lot of shots but, if this were in the street with no ref, Carwin would have been left unconscious w/ a broken c-spine, or even worse. They both have tremendous holes in their game. Carwin gets zero props 4 punching himself out n the 1st round. & Brock gets zero props 4 balling up like he'd never been hit.

@umbilicaltapeworm But, the ref didn't rescue him. He was back on his feet on his own b4 the end of the first round. And Carwin was baked b4 the end of the 1st round. Carwin did not finish him. The ref actually did rescue Carwin though.

@QuasarR1 Yeah I admit he got a beat down and the reason the ref didn't stop the fight so quickly because it was the main event.
It was a big match so he let it carry on and brock was always defending himself. A fight is stopped when the person is intellectually unable to defend himself.
The second round clearly showed brock was still able to fight. Again, I say brock got a solid beat down by shane, there's no denying it lol.

@2pakiMakabeli if Brock was intelligently defending himself then why do you say that it was because of it being such a big match? just kind of contradicted yourself there (and it's "intelligently" not "intellectually"). from what I could see Brock was not defending himself, he was all balled up and just holding his hands against his face at the end of the first round. don't get me wrong, I like both fighters, and Brock's no slouch, but Carwin is the FUCKING MAN. he'll be back to finish the job..

Similiar fight happened in boxing with muhammad ali and the boxers trainer was complaining he ended the fight too early especially for a main event.
I guess they become slightly more lenient when it's a big main event. So many fights end so quickly so it would be disappointing if it ended early.
Yeah I agree they should rematch.

The announcers said the have to give brock lesner credit for even surviving that first round,How bad does a person have to lose in a round for them to say they give you credit and it's a miracle just seeing you to be still breathing and alive today. Will take some carefully placed striking for Shane to beat Brock. Everything favores Brock, size, speed and streagnth, Shane has KO power, but hes gotta land it clean and time it very well.

@george12180 True. Frank is a great fighter. Hes been around a long time. Check out Grapplers Quest, he competes in that, along with a lot of other top UFC fighters (Diego Sanchez, Big Country did a while ago, etc). Im not saying Franks the greatest, but im definately saying he deserves respect for being a true fighter and getting to the top.
