  • Actually the Spec V is faster than a normal se-r. I own one.

  • If Nissan Motorsports is NISMO does that make Honda motorsports HOMO? Nissan FTW. That is most likely an SER not a Spec V. Spec V's eat silly SI's.

  • @El40deGTO They don't all follow the same naming style, Honda's is Mugen, Toyota is TRD, etc.

  • @El40deGTO only difference in spec v is that there sticks, not auto

  • Comment removed

  • passenger in the si and none in the spec v? this would make sense for this race

  • its a drivers race imo...good race

  • I have a spec v. And im sure this is not spec v this is only se-r not spec v

  • Wow, even good gearing and top end power can beat a 2.5L brute.

  • ...not a spec V...my 2004 SE-R Spec-V wouldve left both of those little shits.

  • bro you should have left somebody else take the film so we can see both of your cars, hey that sentra is nice is that an ser??? the thing that really made the car look even better where those yellow fog lights

  • this is not a spec v , i got a old 2003 stop spec v , and i eat by 2 cars every civic on 0 to 100 .

The only civic who beat me was at drag and the guys was using 100 hp of nox , and he only beat me by half a cars so ....

    This is not a spec v .

  • @bobilator1 learn how to spell

  • dude in the sentra looked like he was cruising it, didn't look anything like he was tryin

  • I have 2008 si ) but I started to think to sell the car and buy se-r spec v. Is it really that slow?? Nissan has little bit more hp than si, but way more torque so why is it that slow ???

  • @alexlugovoy pretty sure that kid only has an SER and not the specv

  • @FoxRacinf4 He is shifting though. You can see the front raise and drop.

  • @alexlugovoy Bad driving. The race is neck and neck. Trust me.

  • @pcfxer I like what you saying, but nissan has more torque

I expected it to be a little bit faster

  • The problem with the civic si is just that too many ppl owns it... So you cant be too cool with what everyone already has... get the point?!

  • @perumerican sure the civic is one of the most bought vehicle today.. but in all actuality SI sales only account for 5% nation wide of all civics...

  • The Sentra isn't better than the SI

  • true the SI is better

  • dislikedislikedislikedislikedislikedislikedislikedislike the sentra should of won way better car

  • TOP END IS WHERE HONDAS SHINE BABY!!! VTEC just kicked in YO!

  • LOL another idiot commenting to be about this video..... His profile says "I don't read" more than likely he -> can't <- read.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn LOL couldn't fit all ur hate in one message hahahahahahah fucking troll

  • @PantstofryPWNZ more like 60mph and up

  • sentra took the took the foot

  • bad pilot sentra.... fact.... takes to change gears !!!!! accelerates with fear!!!!!

  • good race until vtec kicked in lol

  • If you're the man you can win in the Spec v as well. It's a little harder to drive then the 2.0 honda. I own a spec v i drive the rsx's all the time my dad has one and my best friend has one.

  • yea juss got beat the civic a beter car 2.0 vtec beat 2.5 sentra flat out and the sentra has similar to vtec

  • @uALREADY11290 Flat out? did you see who led most of the race? The reason I won't get the Civic is that I want the torque on demand that the sentra has, to pass people on the street. I don't need to get up to 8000 rpm all the time to get my power, especially since im 90% going no more than 55 on a street.

My 2004 base sentra has as much horsepower, if not more, than the Civic Si. Honestly Honda? It's a sick looking car but the torque is just laughable.

  • its a ricer race!

  • Yeah masterjedi the nissans have it too. But notice how its WEAKER then hondas??? Honda invented the variable valve timing. And its the best version! Also cause honda DOESNT NEED IT ALL THE TIME like the nissans do at a lower rpm. SO honda doesnt have it engage til higher rpm

  • @kicker400 So what you're saying is that Honda was too stupid to put in vvt the whole time, and decided only to give it to you at 6000+ rpm? I love it when it kicks in, but honestly, the torque is just terrible. If these two met on the highway, like you saw in this race, the sentra would pass it, and the civic would catch up only when it's going like 100

  • does spec v have variable valve timing on intake and exhaust side? or just intake side? I think its just the intake side so...........??? spec v runs a dual runner type intake manifold with a butterfly valve. nothing not even on the same planet as vtec

  • does spec v have variable valve timing on intake and exhaust side? or just intake side? I think its just the intake side so...........???

  • i give a lot of props to these si's...i raced one in my Genesis 2.0t and got beat only by his car ahead of mine. I only had intake, si had intake/exhaust....and it was the sedan version.....good run!!!!!

  • Troll train incoming, again. Don't you losers have anything better to do than respond to weeks old comments. Apparently not.

  • Who cares, next.

  • Im trying to replicate the Altima SE-R on my 07 altima 3.5. I got the body going right, fixing to install a black mesh grill, a K&N CAI, and I have a nismo catback coming soon. I want to look into artisan performance tho. Suspension is already sport tuned. Lighter wheels coming, 5 spoke matte black racing harts.

  • LOL I really have to ignore the honda fanboys that come into the comment circle late. They'll bullshit til they are blue in the face "honda are better built and the ser has timing on one side only blah blah" Hondas, built for economoy not speed with two exceptions both of which are out of production. You could slap a fucking rocket onto a Honda and every other racey Japanese car would still smoke it like a stogie.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn what are even doing in this comment list then? Do you drive SE-R? if yes, then it's the same econobox as Civic.. why to even leave useless comments....

  • @LAVASTICK Form complete sentences and I drive a Spec V not a standard SE-R. Regular SE-R's are for the people who can't drive a manual.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn So what then? How's YOUR car "build for speed" ?

You don't buy cars that are build for speed in this price range.. you build them your self. And Honda would be at the same level as any other japanese car... sometimes even higher. I really don't care what car is faster, spec-v or si... I care of people just bullshitting and try to sound smart.. but really they by no means sound any smarter then they are.

    Thanks,

  • @LAVASTICK I don't really need to do shit to my Spec V it'll haul ass the way it is. And yes you can buy an inexpensive car thats already fast in stock mode. My car was built for speed by Nissan, it has sway bars and it's lightweight plus a good amount of horsepower. The only thing I'm gonna do to it is put the nismo catback exhaust on it, that'll give it an even 180hp plus the exhaust looks good.

  • i used to have a 02 spec v stock! and i have never lost to a honda or a acura rsx! niggas need to learn how to drive damn!

  • theres no way thats a spev-v i have one of my own but its and 06 the last year before they changed the body style and i beat hondas all day all new and in the 90s even some si's if that one was stock

  • Comment removed

  • god those Sentras are hideous

  • SNAP YA FINGAS! DO YA STEP!

  • Love that Sentra! Great car, own a black SR myself.

  • fk yo sentra FG/FA WTF!!!

  • The new sentras look really lame. They should have just messed a little with the previous body style and voila. If it isnt broke dont fix it.

  • @mucura1 I totally agree with you, thats the reason I bought a 2006 Hyper Silver Sentra SER Spec v. is better looking than the new model. LOL

  • @mucura1 HELL YEAH

  • @mucura1 Yea I've owned every sentra SE-R up tell this new style, I just don't like it

  • @mucura1 I like it. I bought one. Tomorrow I get it.

  • First of all it's NOT A SPEC V it says it at the begining of the video, if it was a spec v the sentra would've done better. The sentra would be ahead by a car length but I've heard at about 60 to 70 mph the si's pull a lot stronger and eventually over take the spec v.

  • k series BABY! TOP END!

  • the ser spc v has valve timing but no valve lift. the si has valve timing and lift thats why it lifts at 5800.torque plays a roll in regular driving not in roll on races. each car is at their peak tq when starting. even match a drivers race with the si having the advantage.

  • @bugeye2003 We don't even know if the camera car is actually a civic si. We never see the car.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn oh come on, you can see the dash board and odometer ) and if you know how si looks inside then you'll know that this one is si )

  • @lanlug The video is still wrong that's an SE-R not a Spec V. Spec V's have darker wheels.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn might be but this si for sure !)

  • @lanlug Yeah it's an SI the gauges are red.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn I don't know a lot about SE-R and Spec-V, I checked on few sites and they look the same for me. (I'm talking about the stock cars) and stock has the same wheels ) It is hard to say what it is just by looking at the wheels because it's easy to change them )

  • @lanlug The SE-R's come in auto only with semi sporty wheels, the Spec V's come with even sportier wheels and six speed manual only plus the Spec V has more power.

  • Stock for stock the Si will beat the SE-R every time (assuming they are both similar drivers) although it's close.

  • @ajlod934893 you base that on what? for one this "SE-R" didn't look like a spec v...it should have taken it from a roll then the civic would pull out ahead with the vtec...Honda's don't have high torque engines..they rely on their mid range power...that's why they always pull ahead in 3rd gear.

  • @0verd0se87 I base that on personal experience. I've raced plenty newer spec v's and si's and I always have a harder time with si's...but hey whatever I really don't care.

  • @bugeye2003 The video title and description also contradict each other. I don't really care though it ain't my car.

  • why cant we all just get along? Modd your cars then race and talk shit.

  • @hooksdonny Well it looks like your Japanese muscle car just got beat by a typical ricer.

  • the SER weight much more than the SI. They both have about the same horse, the civic lack TQ however. Overall, it's basically the weight that gave the SI over the SER.

  • ser spec v = japan's muscle car

civic si = typical ricer...i\h\e doesn't make youre car fast!!! i love my spec v!!

  • vtec

  • i love my wrx!

  • LMAO FUCK YEAH!

    Awesome Comment!

  • man, you guys are so enthralled by what turns out to only be about a TENTH of a second difference between these two cars. beating someone by a car length at 100mph is definitely not anything special. stop talking about how putting turbos on either will settle the score. OF COURSE THEY WILL! that's not a new idea. so for those of you talking about having higher IQs, maybe you should consider these facts.

  • Si ftw

  • honda civic #1 the best car in the world. nissans are a shit

  • @jamesacb2 o yea what do u drive i bet my big ass boat of a altima will smoke u

  • @zerolimit4life who ask u?? and who cares anyways......

  • @zerolimit4life Duh. Newer Altima's make over 250 horse and go 0-60 in the low 6's. It's a completely different class though worse handler and bigger motor. An Altima has like 1.5 more litre's and neither have a turbo. Lets just compare a Cobalt SS to a C6 Corvette while we are at it.

  • @ajlod934893 lol the one guy waz saying that nissans r shit he has a little ass civic so i said 2 bring it it should b close i have an 04 which at the motor only has like 245 and at the wheels its like 190 or so so that guy with that little ass civic should bring it and i will show him y nissans r the shit =)

  • @zerolimit4life I don't know why the hate. Nissan is an awesome company and so is Honda. We should just say hey close race both are good cars. I have a Ford CSVT but I show respect to the SE-r Spec V and Si.

  • @jamesacb2 I can think of a whole host of cars that will easily claim the title of "best car in the world" over some civic. just saying...

  • Comment removed

  • Jan. 2009 Car and Driver says 2945lbs for this sedan, you can tell by the red illuminating gauges. Perhaps you looked up a coupe model? I also, know that when I bought my RSX, they recommended I don't do anything to the motor. They said it was so finely tuned that it would only compromise reliability and performance. Perhaps @200hp the K20 just reaches its most efficient performance? If thats true than we're looking at a K24 civic in the next couple years thats really gonna weigh a lot.

  • Comment removed

  • My friend just got the SE-R, we haven't raced, but I love my 08 si. (He's got the new sentra ser)

  • ricers wtf?

  • When racing against VTEC the roll speed matter, K20 needs to start at 6K so that's a rather limited choice: ~55Mph @2nd..

  • I've both beat and lost to these newest model ser's. I"ve not once lost to a new si. Perhaps he should have shifted a lil higher up, try going a lil over redline, instead of a lil under. a 2.5 liter that makes peak torque at 5k+ rpms is insane tuning. They need to quit adding so much weight to the civics. My rsx weighs just over 2700lbs. this Si is only 10lbs shy of 3k. shorter gears don't do it justice. Especially since it actually has 3 less hp and 5 less lb. ft out of the box.

  • @RSXYYY At 5000? Jeez my B15's torque peaks at like 4000.

  • @RSXYYY

Hmm... last time I looked at the stat sheet the Si weighed in at 2850lbs, I don't know where your're getting your information. You obviously didn't realize that the SAE changed there rating standards in 2006 so that now engines are rated with all of the power steering and A/C belts on the motor which takes away power. Notice the 06 RSX was rated at 210 and then got dropped to 201. So the new Si would have been rated at 206 previous to '06. LSD+better suspension puts Si on top

  • The fogs are rice!

  • @themightywillfall SPEC V rules, i own a 2003 nissan sentra ser spec v. stock rims, and 8000k HID lights..

  • @RodrigoMJ32 A real Spec V(B15) would kick the Civic SI's ass easily.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn 07 spec (b16) is faster than b15

  • @LVSpeed I doubt it. The B15 is lighter and has 80% of the power that the B16 has.

  • Comment removed

  • @LVSpeed I know what I'm talking about moron. Let me guess, you're just another shit talker on here. I figured as much. We're not arguing because I'm right, period.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn do you drive a b15? or a b16? have you ever raced them???? I drive a b16 and beat a b15 by a lot!

  • @LVSpeed B15, I haven't raced anyone. I don't do illegal street racing this isn't TFAFT.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn pussy. just race. grow some balls. im smoke you all day every day. bet you $100

  • @LVSpeed Tough talk from a keyboard lol. I bet you do that alot, you sound like you've had alot of practice being an internet tough guy. Why don't you post a video between you and a B15.

  • @LVSpeed That's what I thought, pussy. You won't post a video because you know damn well a B15 would swipe the floor with you.

  • Comment removed

  • @LVSpeed Baking? what do you think this is the food channel?

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn making. i fcked up. typing big deal. get your facts right. race these cars and you will see. plus i put down 209whp (little over 17 stock). fully modded b15 with bsr and safc make around 170whp.

  • @RodrigoMJ32

You don't go around racing people.... your previous comment was "have smoked every civic that has tried to race me"... That would lead me to believe you do go around racing people. I would make your Spec V bow down to my Civic,

And don't you ever compare your fucking Sentra to the Skyline. The ONLY thing similar between a sentra and a GTR is the little shiny nissan badge and that's it. Don't dilute yourself into thinking your car is anything more.

  • Comment removed

  • @RodrigoMJ32

That's all you have to say eh? Typical youtube moron, thinks because he's older it automatically makes him better/smarter. My IQ is higher than yours and I know WAY more about cars than your old ass, it would appear that you are the one wasting peoples time with you ignorant statements about your "baby GT-R" hahaha

  • @97preludeshvtec relax kid, i never said i was smarted or better, you said that,

relax its just the internet. people these days getting mad over a comment made online........... life is too short for those things, enjoy life............

  • @RodrigoMJ32 Have you noticed that all the Honda ricer boys try to race everyone including cars that would easily stomp their asses.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn yes i have man, and they swear Honda civic Si is better than a spec V, they are not called baby skyline's for nothing, inspired by the Nissan skyline, specially the 2003 sentra spec v, that i why i love mine, and the new one was tuned at the Nurburgring race track in Germany!!

  • @RodrigoMJ32 The new one is just shy of 3100lbs though and uglier than sin.

  • wow what a ugly car.

  • love the SERs!! XD btw, those fog lights are nice!! lol :D

  • that is a psc-v due to actually hanging with an si. the si and spc-v is the only one's in this class. other cars are either fasteror slower than them. N/A is no longer good enough for speed. turbo is the new king of the streets for stock vehicles. cobalt ss and MS3 are the king of 4cylinder power.

  • K20a ftw

  • yes that has to be an SE-R not an SE-R spec v b/c if it was a spec v it would be infront of that Si (if both were stock of course) i have a 2010 spec v and buddy has a 2010 si both stock and i always out run him

  • @dgreen829 0-60 and 1/4 mile times disagree with you from Motor Trend and Car & Driver. Both cars are essentially equal so your buddy can't drive as well as you can ;).

That Sentra was a manual as well thus it can only be a Spec-V.

  • civic 2.0 vs 2.5 sentra civic show his nice v-tec power

  • se-r looks like a fat turd, its todays toyota tracel

  • lawl sad my boosted d16y8 would eat that ser

  • @HEYNANO86 Yes well a boosted se-r would shit on your d16y8 all day. and if were swapping... Hows a bout a VQ35DE boosted.. fits in the se-r just fine...

  • @FDoomed y not a boosted rb26dett instead?

  • @leoneo187 you don't really think a skyline engine will fit in the sentra?

    if we're being foolish,let me drop a VR38 in my spec v 8-|

even the 3.5 VQ is pushing it because the weight and pulley issue...the ecu is hell to get through as well...most people rather build the QR block or swap in an sr20.

  • @0verd0se87 i seen an ls1 corvette engine fit in a civic.. so im sure the rb26 will fit in a sentra..

  • @leoneo187 yeah if you want chassis and welding hell

    it's not practical.

  • the ls1 motor is more wide than long like the inline 6's. my friend has a ls1 240z and the motor fits better than the original inline 6 motor. rb26 would need too too much chopping to do.

  • @leoneo187 vq35 swap is easier its a fwd engine it the altima.

  • @FDoomed but u can only slap a 5 speed tranny, the running gear wouldnt let it stay in the power band

  • That wasn't a spec v, if it was it would be much faster in the begining! About a car length and a half. But still the si is faster at top end speeds. At about 60 to 65 mph the si's just takes over from there.

  • the se-r has more torque than the si. that makes big difference on rolling starts.

  • @rharta I agree ser v is a lot faster on the get go but I drove an 2009 si and its more fun to drive its a zippy car (i dont own one). The ser v is an ugly looking car and the older models are a lot better looking.

  • @roleup i can't agree with you more. That was definitely NOT A SPEC V. And Yes the older Spec-v Sentra design was so much better than this new model. That would have been a nice race (2006 Spec-v vs that SI)

  • @hhova29 you own any of the two cars?

  • @roleup yes i do! spec v

  • @rharta I'm not sure if that's teh Spec version Sentra. No ridges on the front bumper at all. Looks more like the SER but not the SER Spec V.

    Anyone else notice this?

  • @AgileMJOLNIR

hmm. i think you're right. it's may only be a SeR. :) thx btw.

  • @rharta The SE-R also has constant variable valve timing where as Hondas need to reach 6000+rpm just to engage that feature.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn civic si has variable valve timing on the intake side.

  • @nugunooch Spec V has permanent variable valve timing that's always on. Can't really beat that. It doesn't matter where the variable timing is located.

  • @nugunooch The QR25DE has on the intake and exhaust

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn really sense when? cause in the previous model it didnt engage till like 5k, and its not really a valve timing if its always on? and se-r's is just intake side while si's is intake and exhaust side. hai five i use to own a spec v but the si is a much better built car. and not so ugly

  • @slcslobalt Yeah right you owned a Spec V. *coughbullshitcough* What do you own now?

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn i owned an 05 spec v lol... i/h/e and a 50 shot through that. then i sold it when the speed three came out and made about 348 whp till it blew up, sold that bought an sti till i left for basic training came back from basic and bought an 09 cobalt ss and sold that when shit kept breakin i now drive a 00' for ranger baby.. till next spring =) have fun with your 180 hp spec v that will run high 15's all day

  • @slcslobalt So in a nutshell you can't own a car without breaking parts inside of it. I've owned my Spec V for 6 years got it brand new and haven't broken anything on it. I don't care what time it runs I'm not into that drag strip shit thats for TFATF ricers. I also have a 95 RX-7 and I take very good care of it. My RX is stock too with the exception of an aftermarket exhaust which helps the engine breathe better. I'm sure you're gonna talk shit about that too. I'm the better driver.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn variable valve timeing and variable lift are two different things, variable lift is engaged at 6k and the sentra does not have that

  • @irhkmj Ok now we're going off into the realm of who cares. Troll someone else. End of transmission.

  • @irhkmj Ok now we're going off into the realm of who cares.

  • @irhkmj Who cares. End of discussion.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn the civic si has variable valve timing on the intake cam as well as vtec on the intake and exhaust cams .

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn and yet it still lost.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn go cry buddy hondas r rape allday just watch the video pfffttttt

  • @ppackingnegro Learn to use english, "buddy" moron. Just what I need another illiterate imbecile who doesn't know how to form complete sentences attempting to talk shit and failing miserably.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn lol u cant be all bitter oss but the fact of the matter is honda rapes all period now go cry and talk some more shit LOL everyone disagrees with u . so have fun arguing with urself ! LOL!!!!!

  • @ppackingnegro Go smoke your pot, it looks like irreparable damage has already been done to what little brains you had in the first place. Irony: a troll(ppackingretard) calling someone else a troll.

  • @ppackingnegro

    You sound like a tool

  • @rharta your a ra-tard.....torqu is more inportant/helps more from a dig.

HP is better from a roll**

  • @22770259

that's why i said that the se-r has more torque. stupid ass.

  • @rharta More torque because its bigger 2.5. the k24 has the same torque, more hp and revs highter.

  • Ive raced a spec-V in my corrado thrice and walked it by a length thrice it was modded too... the older ones were way cooler
