This fight wouldn't make a lot of sense, for several reasons:
1) Tyson has a distinct weight advantage
2) Royce Gracie was one of the pioneers of MMA; as such, and regarding that the sport has evolved tremendously, Royce was always one-dimensional. A young Royce today, with his old skillset, wouldn't be a star in today's MMA.
It would make more sense to have an MMA fight between, let's say, Tyson and Fedor Emelianenko in their primes.

Anything is possible. But if we assume Mike Tyson doesn't learn any take down defense or anything outside of boxing, then he'd stand little chance. Boxing is simply too limited. Even in the early UFC's knowing only boxing wouldn't be a good idea.

In my opinion in mma royce gracie wins and im a mike tyson fan. Tyson wouldn't be an easy push over because his pyisique allows him to be very powerful and strong. it wouldn't be as easy as all the bjj/royce gracie asshole claim it to be. tyson is incredibly powerful especially is lower body.
in a boxing match, shit, royce would die, i wouldn't allow it i would have to run in the ring and save him before he gets killed.

It took Gracie almost 4 minutes to submit a retired boxer who had been KO'd in 11 of his last 12 fights in which he lasted an average of two minutes. Those fights were against bums who only had a 60% win rate, LMAO

The three guys he beat were 2-12, 0-2, 7-41. That is a combined 9-55.
For Royce Gracie to actually consider Jimmerson as a worthy opponent is an insult to JJ and all Gracie did was degrade himself by fighting a bum.

AJ had 33 wins (17 KO's) and 18 losses (12 KO's). That is a 33% KO rate which means he had absolutely no power. It is a 65% win rate which is absolutely horrendous in boxing.
He fought Gracie in 1993 and went on to win 3 of his next 16 fights. Not exactly a world class boxer.
In 1993 Mike Tyson was 41-1 with 36 KO's (86%). 19 of his KO's were in the 1st round.
Gracie took 2 minutes to beat AJ, Tyson would have finished him in 12 seconds including the 10 count.

Easy win for Gracie, I don't think he's takin a full punch since his MMA career. Gracie's first fight in the UFC was against a pro boxer and the guy couldn't land a jab. Gracie probably comes out of this fight without a scratch Tyson's boxing wouldn't count for jackshit when he's on the mat in under 30 secs.

Anything is possible. But if we assume Mike Tyson doesn't learn any take down defense or anything outside of boxing, then he'd stand little chance. Boxing is simply too limited. Even in the early UFC's knowing only boxing wouldn't be a good idea.

I think Gracie would beat mike in a cage fight....here's why:
1. Mike tyson has no wrestling deffense.
2. all fights end up on the ground somehow.
3. Mike tyson would be vulnerable on the ground and Gracie would submitt him easily.
the only chance mike has of beating Gracie, is if he catches him with a punch and knocks him out.

A prime Royce vs prime Tyson UFC rules? I'd say Royce 4 out of 5 times. He's shown he can get inside on people and take them down consistently without getting tagged. Once it is on the ground, it would be over for Tyson, even if Tyson bites.

To say that gracie only lost 2 is fine, but his wins were over no buddies... watch all the old ufc's, an old karate guy, a shitty boxer with a glove on haha, and a bunch of fat guys. Ken was the only guy who gave him any problems, and look how good he turned out to be. Tyson, like all the heavy weights in the ufc would destroy gracie. tyson was a VERY accurate puncher. mma gloves would only benefit him. royce gracie was great. but not by todays standards of mma, hughes proved that. tyson at his best would still be a champion. gracie has never fought as technically sound a fighter as tyson. not to mention the speed and strenght. go look at some tyson fights. i think you are forgetting who this guy was.
