i am 18 and in the us army. i was in the 4th grade. i was at home the day this shit went down. i had the flu. i saw it on cnn and got pissed. for people that try to tell me that i should be a jr in high school i know so stop telling me i droped out of school to get my ged to go in the army too fight in the war.
i was in th 4th grade and was home with the flu.i was seeing this shit go down on the news. now i am going to iraq in 5 mounths. Fuck the mid east a good rag head is a dead one.
If you were in 4th grade you would be a jr in high school because thats what i am. So unless you graduated a year early you couldnt be going over seas
in 2nd grade in nc and asked the music teacher why she was crying and she said her husband was in the world trade center and then the school went on lock down and every one went home
i was in 1st grade when this happened my princapal came on the Pa and told us what had happened my class held hands and prayed thats all we could do then alot of kids mom's came and got them myself included my grandpa was down the block from the twin towers he saw the plane coming and he said we need to leave now and he got out but i feel bad for every1 that did'nt god bless america
i stayed gluded to the tv for days hoping to hear they had found more people still alive. hoping they had somehow just gotten trapped and just been rescued.
i love this song it maks me cry that day my aunt came over crying because her husban was in a building right across from it and she didnt know if he was ok but he called and was fine that was the worst day ever
i love our country and i makes me mad when people complane cause we are in iraq people war is how we got our freedoms listen to this song and realize this and support our troops fighting for our freedoms. God Bless America!!!!!
i love this song it makes me cry everytime i see it,because on 9-11-01,i was only a first grader and had no idea why my mom was soo panic but now i understand what happened and i was soo upset.but i am proud to be an american and am happy that i am free.P.S. the anti bin laden shirts are probably what everyone was wearing on 9-12-01(lol sorta)
I dont think we need to worry about the politics about what happen that day. what we need to do is worry about those who were lost they are often forgotten when poitical arguments start it becomes who is right and wrong instead of those who had to live without people that they loved.
I will always remember that day till my very last breathe on this earth. I lost a dear friend that morning, and one of his legs was his only remains left to us when it was discovered more than five years later. So your question is answered, but the real questions should never end there.
The most important question should be what we have learned from the tragedy, as one people, as one nation, and as one human race. More precisely, should we allow anyone, especially our government, to exploit this tragedy to do whatever they want in the name of 9/11 and terror? I was a registered Republican until the 2002 election, when I became a registered independent.
I didn't think a political party that exploits the innocent deaths of 9/11 and our deep emotions to trick us into a war against a country that didn't attack us based on manipulated intelligence would ever get my vote again. This is an emotional issue to me, and will forever be. I strongly believe that those who died that day wanted those of us who survive to tell the truth for they never had a chance again.
the song mentioned "watching CNN and the difference between Iraq and Iran, so they showed Saddam and then an Iranian flag. nothing to do with bin laden
Alan Jackson should now know invading Iraq is the worst move we could ever made in the War on Terror after hundreds of thousands of innocent deaths and in that country and five hundred billion dollars burned. And bin Laden's been forgotten by the Bush administration.
In these days two-thirds of the population concur with the "leftist spew" that we shouldn't have let Bush and Cheney exploit the 9/11 tragedy to invade a country that didn't attack us and to commit acts of war-profiteering, which Truman called treasonous in WW2. Halliburton has made a lot of blood money, and the "leftists" aren't liking it.
do not confuse moderate americans who want troops out with far left loons like yourself who think that wars are made for profit of haliburton and that Bush was behind 9/11. do not confuse the 90% of the two thirds who want troops home because they love and care for them and America and want the troops home to fight illegal immigration, with the 10% of the two thirds who want troops home because they hate America
That's how silly you look when you employ those Rush Limbaugh tactics to attack the patriotism of others who disagree with you. It doesn't make you a better patriot. It only makes you look cowardly and small-minded. I never said or thought Bush was behind 9/11. Shame on you to even try to put words in my mouth to attack me on the cheap. Save the verbal bullying to yourself.
I never said Bush was, I said left loons like you blame him and America for it. You attack a song by alan jackson for no other reason than to get an opportunity to spew your political nonsense. theres plenty of other places to make your points on these topics. Employing liberal tactics of blaming Bush on every problem the world has is shortsighted.
"Employing liberal tactics of blaming Bush on every problem the world has is shortsighted." STOP PUTTING WORDS IN PEOPLE'S MOUTHS YOU'RE NOT IN GRADE SCHOOL ANYMORE.
I think it's a nice song but Alan Jackson is just commercializing a tragic event. And earning tons of money off it. I hope he donated at least half of his incomes to the victims. If not, he's a fucking asshole.
I remember just a few days before the event, I was 10 and wondering why history was never made and why nothing exciting when I'm alive. Then I walked home and the first thing I saw was the two towers on fire on tv.
I was at home watching that horrid frightening incident on TV thinking of my son who just joined the US Airforce They told him 3 weeks before 9/11 there would not be a war.He remains in the Airforce and I still shed tears for the familes that lost love ones that day and for my son who I want home.
I was 11 when I heard that the trades went down and my aunt told me my parents were killed and even though it's been 5 years i still miss them just ass much as when it happend
I was home when I found out. I got outta bed and went into the kitchen to get something to drink and I saw my mom crying, holding a picture of my cousin, John. I asked her what was wrong and she told me to go look at the TV. I wen tin ans saw the Twin Towers on fire. My cousin worked in the first tower, so I was terrified. I ran back in and asked if he was okay. She just cried harder. It turned out my aunt called and told us they reported him dead. I was in total shock.
I was in 4th grade. And I remember crying alot of the day. This was very touching. My aunt worked by the towers. Luckly she didn't have to work that day.
I was in school...5th grade. It was strange, my class was always so noisy, we were a class full of class full of "class clowns". But when the teacher told us what happened the whole room went silent. And I saw tears in my teachers eyes. I started crying...
this is the biggest exploitation of 911 I have ever seen...being a new york resident who's dad worked right next to the towers when the airplanes struck, I am insulted. A country singer who has no idea (as he explicitly says in his song) what he is talking should not be preaching to ME about 911.
I was sleeping when my father woke me. I'll never forget watching this on tv and now thinking about five years later, it makes seem like it was yesterday.God Bless
o m gosh i just watched this whole tribute thing on t.v and its so sad i mean were where u guys? me i was in math... 4th grade a teacher took my teacher out told him and my teach. came back in and told us and it was just omg but i felt horrible cuz while my teacher was in the hall way i a joked about someone in skool with a knife its just sad this was the day america became a country i hope all of you have a wonderful day and may god bless you and keep you safe
