i use gnome not KDE, what would i use to record my desktop for tutorials?

also can i do gnome and KDE aps and programes? i read they are the same desktops just different configuration and options as default.

what are the desktop applications / widgets you use?

IF you talking about the way some other guys do tutorial you can always use cheese which will get the webcam on the screen and then capture using recordmydesktop

well no it will check for recordmydesktop utility first and install it if you haven't installed it
