  • why am i watching 50's refrigerator commercial??

  • Damn, I'd love to have this NOW!!!! Along wiwth the washer and dryer.... good of Westinghouse.!!!!!

  • I would do anything to have a "show-case crisper"

  • j'aime surtout le "showcase crisper" !

  • This was a '56 model. The '58 and '59 models took on a change with a more squared look instead of a "rounded" design like this one.

  • I see they redesigned the door opener on the 1956 model. My grandparents had a 1954 model with the big button you had to push. If the power went out, the button didn't work. The 1956 model had a handle to pull. But still there was a locking mechanism that could trap a child.

  • Plus it was a death trap too, a child could climb in it and die in a metter of minutes, see how it had that handle that latched? Old and dangerous.

  • @Sheri451 yes, but if they made a safety system, it would be safe. Latching doors CANNOT OPEN, which means when the door/s is shut, is stays like that. People who dispose of these things should have known better too-like removing doors or even the latch if possible

  • An early model Fisher and Paykel 'Active Smart!"

  • whats awesome is connie is from where i live, but knowone knows her here cuz dave koslo and eric hinske are from here too

  • Occasionally, someone other than Betty Furness would "pitch" Westinghouse appliances on their sponsored series during the '50s- one of them was Connie Clausen.
